ok bare with me , im super exhausted as im typing this .im using the 1995 s14 spindles and hubs to convert my s13 to five lug .
i have given up on "simply" seperating the ball joints and im now wanting to just get new lower control arms to put on the s14 spindles and call it a day .
BUT ,i dont want to order new control arms and find out they wont even fit the s14 spindles . so my question is this , are the s14 balljoints the same diameter as the s13 ball joints even though they have different part numbers??

I recently did the oem 5 lug swap. I'm still on s13 control arms, but I replaced the balljoints with s14 ones. Is your problem with replacing the balljoints? FYI the easiest way to do this is to remove the LCA's completely off the car, place them on flat ground, and bang on the old balljoints with a sledgehammer. Then rent the balljoint press tool from autozone to press in the new s14 balljoints. Pressing in the balljoints is not an easy task, as you have to have it lined up perfectly in order for it to go all the way in. It just takes some patience.
Now, in regards to your actual question: Are you buying new s14 control arms or new s13 control arms? Whatever you are doing, just remember that both balljoints fit both LCA's, but ONLY the s14 balljoints will fit s14 spindles.

Many places will charge you ~$30 bucks to press in balljoints. At least that what I was quoted once.
Another option is to use S14 arms aswell, I've done that on an S13 to get a wider stance. This is with adjsutable TC rods, SPL Z32 tie rods and camber plates to get a proper alignment - don't know how well it'd work on oem parts.
