i have a 95 240sx, how can i make it do that popping backfire noise. will removing the cat and putting a testpipe work? i have 370cc injectors for my turbo project but i aint got the turbo yet. so in the meantime, will putting the injectors in make my car backfire and be ok?

i kno this might be a bunch of noob questions, but i gotta start sumwhere

Um my car backfires like a beast. How can I make it stop?

3" turbo back exhaust and a tuned rich JWT ecu and you will be backfiring with the best of them. The question is why the hell would you want to make you car backfire?

Edit: Oh and putting in your injectors with no modification to your ECU will fuck up your idle, make your car waste gas, posibly burn out your cat, and make your car smell funny. So yeah don't do that.

The only way your gonna make a NA car back fire is by shoving a sparkplug in the exhaust track and running without a cat.

Just wait till you get a turbo. Then after a couple monthes the novelty of having a car that shoots flames will wear off.

Personally I still like mine. Chicks dig it

not true, my 89 240sx hatch has 2.5" exhaust with a straight through muffler, from the manifold back, and it shoots blue flames.
I don't have any other modifications to the engine except for intake.
it does seem to run pretty rich, and it backfires all the time.

Hehe...this reminds of both of my old school A2 Jettas. Both shot flames on a regular basis. My cat broke into pieces on it's own and I tuned it to run a little rich. If not it would ping like crazy. Funny thing...everyone at my school kept asking me what I had done to my car. Man, I miss my Jetta's, I was able to run down a few 240's at my school. Then I drove my friends S13 and was hooked.

Anyway, I don't think it's wise to try to do it on a 240. There are too many sensors and you'll just end up losing power from making it run rich. Especially since your car is OBDII.
