it's "hachi" and you're just calling it an "8" rather than a "hachi roku" (8-6)
I believe stock in good conditions ones typically fetch around $2000-$3000 though. Could be wrong, but their are a couple posted in the For Sale section. Check them out.

As mentioned - Autotrader, club4ag, for sale forums - will give you a good idea of what people are asking for them in your area. Whether you get your asking price is another question. Brother sold an immaculate one a few years ago for ~4k but that was during the height of the Initial D craze.

lol 2-3K for an 86 Corolla?
Get real.
1,500-2,000 for one in good condition is what common sense dictates it's worth to me. Then again, being a Cali car it's probably pretty clean from rust, and if it runs well too.. but I don't believe in paying a bandwagon premium.
But yeah, I guess someone would pay 2 to 3 grand for it.

someone would pay way more than that if it's clean. it's not really worth it but people pay that bandwagon premium. TAKE IT.

i know i wouldn't pay that much a corolla. and know technically they should be that much. i know there's a demand for them and i'm sure theres someone out there that would pay 3k for a clean one. i didn't know they could go for 4 and 5k though.

i sold mine just a few months ago for 3200. bone stock with prothane bushings. pretty clean overall. (7 out of 10). was a gts tho. yes they're overpriced, but you can still find the rare grandma owned ones for around a grand.
