alright, so all of a sudden my airbag light started to blink.
i have stock oem steering wheel, nothing modified.
it just happened just like that.
so i did some research on Zilvia about the problem, and i decided to "cheat".
i took out the cluster and covered the airbag electrical line on the back of the cluster with a black rubber tape, hoping that the bulb won't receive electricity anymore so it won't blink.

i plugged everything back and tested if it worked, but now instead of blinking, it's permanently on.

what have i done wrong?
is it normal that it's permanently on? would it go off permanently if i reset it now?

Which lead did you cover? And you do realize that covering a lead with anything doesn't break the circuit, correct?

Follow the diagnostic procedure as outlined here in this site a hundred times, or read the FSM. Key on, door switch, etc.

this worked for my altima and 240sx, make sure the passenger doors are closed, turn the ingnition on, the ON position and right away push the door pin 5 times, it might seven times on some cars then turn the ingnition off, and the turn the car on, the light should disapear
