Yeah... I've been to Streets and it's a lot of fun...
It's a smaller tighter course where you use mostly 2nd and 3rd gear... More banked turns as well... Shorter straightaways... A very short "esses"... It's a great course for the Hondas...
Buttonwillow is flatter, more technical, and faster...
3rd and 4th gear for most of the course... Slow turns, long fast turns, hard braking, and the fact that Time Attack is held there...
Zodiac says he isn't going to go to an event until his project is finished but we'll see...
We are also in the planning stages of using my car for a 6hr enduro at Buttonwillow in June(NASA event)... Lots of planning and rules checking on that but I want to make it happen...

What day are you going sat, sun, or both? I will be there on sunday. I really wanna squeeze in one of the california speedway events, one laguna seca event, and the infineon event as well this year. And of course I will be going to the streets and buttonwillow.

I'm going to try make it to as many events as possible before it gets too hot out there.:bigok:
6hr enduro at Buttonwillow? That's awesome! Don't you have to install a full cage for that? Are you going to drive the entire session?
yusuke1923: They do HTM but last time they were there was very slow. That is, there wasn't that many people in attendance. I managed to get a 1:07.xx there.

Good to hear that another s-chasis is going to be out there with us as we're planning on that same enduro run. :x: I'm assuming you already have your NASA competition wheel to wheel license already since your preppin' for the 6hr. The only thing I could recommend would be having extra parts for the car and some serious lighting. We had HID's in the popups, fogs, and 4 front rally lights and it wasn't enough. Almost side swipped a SRT4 a couple of times because it was so dark...oh yeah...both enduro's enter we DNF'd cause of mechanical failure. Enduro's are car killers. Hope to see you guys out there soon.

Nitin: When and where did you go to get your wheel to wheel license??
Sounds like you should just focus on finishing the race in one piece. :bigok:

Easier said than done when running enduro's, hope that doesn't deter any of you guys in getting out there and running. The rewards are definitely worth the risk.

I don't have my W2W license yet... And I was looking to be more of the team manager/captain/owner... But if I can make it as a driver I will... I want to be as involved as possible...
I've got a couple questions that I'd like to ask you Jon, but I need this week to end... Thanks in advance...
I should make it clear that this is just a plan right now between a couple of friends and my car... We've got 6 months to make it happen...
This is really exciting...

Good to hear...I'm excited for you and your team. If you have any q's let me know and I'll do what I can to help or at the very least point you in the right direction. I know its a little bit of a drive but I got the race car at my house, in pieces, but if you want to check it out to give you some ideas let me know.

As far as mods to the motor...not much. We're restricted to a certain power to weight ratio for ST2. A lot of guys on the street have more mods than we do :naughty:. Season opener isn't till March so I've been laggin on the car but mainly were putting in a fresh rebuilt motor and adding a PAINLess wiring kit on the chasis. Whats kind of holding us back is that we're in the works in getting a sponsorship with a certain standalone co. and wouldn't want to rewire the car again along with the AIMS digi dash that I got thats missing some pieces...basically taking our sweet ass time and laggin' it. :loco:

Hello
MOMENTUM GT-- yea , I know what you mean as far as mads go in ST2 , your basic modded SR with injectors ,T28 & Z 32 MAF & a good tune will kinda put you overboard as far as T2 rules go , even with a limited tire size Im lookin at 245 DOT-R just so I can have maximun power. So Im kinda lookin at Super unlimited that way I can do what I want (motor & tire wise) & just race for the overall finish, even though there are some heavy hitters in SU/EO,one of wich I wrench on!!!!.
As far as the AIM system for the most part .yea some EFI systems can be made to work with the AIM DASH . But I personally have had better success when the AIM is kept seperate( it does come with all its own sensors). Beleive it or not AIM beacons have some trouble being accurate when there are alot of people(5+) beacons set out-VS- your transponder
As far as the schedule . The first run is FEB 9-10 at Willow & MAR is at CAL SPDY(easter WKND) in wich I plan to go to ,anyhow LMK whats up .If you need a helping hand LMK Im down

Yeah I know what you mean little mods gets us over the limit easily...it also helps to keep the cost down. lol. As far as tire goes we're using a 255 RA1 and plan on going bigger. Hope to see you out there!
