Delay in Blitz DD Bov

My friend got a new Blitz DD Bov on SR and when he lets off the throttle, it does the compressor surge then you hear the normal release of air from the BOV. We adjusted the top screw in many ways we can and still the same result.

Is making the vacuum hose shorter give better response, or that doesn't matter? We made sure the BOV isn't leaking and running the vaccum hose straight to the manifold without T's, and has boost gauge to make sure it's idling fine.

It might be sticky since it's a piston type try taking it apart. clean it, check for clogs on the nipple and relube the piston then go from there
