When I replaced my fuel pump there was a gasket around the between the tank and the cover it broke. I need a new one and when I went to advance auto they have no idea what it is called and there search seem to only come up as fuel pump gasket. That gasket is definally the wrong one because it is smaller then a quarter. Anyone know the Part # or name of it. Thanks

should be called a fuel pump tank seal. i checked on courtesy nissan for a part number for you, but couldnt find one. double check with advance auto..they could of given you the wrong one.

if not..the dealer usually has them. they should be able to find it for you.

It is a thick o-ring, just call the dealer it shouldn't cost more than $10.

yeah even at the dealer, i think they're only around 7 bucks. ive made stretched out ones fit...but that was after a little persuasion. its A LOT easier to just get a new one and drop it in, plus..you wont have to worry about it later on.

its called a fuel tank seal and costs around $7-$12 and i believe you can only get it at dealerships. other than that you would have to special order it from autozone or kragen.

go to autozone, they have a bosch one, its a sending unit seal or pump seal, i tired cutting mine and i had a leak, it runs rite on to your exhaust of the tank btw, i tired rtv but it wont harden with the gas near it.

it was $16 last time i got one, i allways keep a spare with my spare fuel pump in my track parts box.

Don't cut it and put it back, been there done that, trust me. Go buy it at the dealer and be done with it. As mentioned, should be ~$10.

Yeah I've done this before....one time, the gas dude "topped off" my tank, and gas overflowed through the top of the tank.....fucker...

So yeah I replaced the gasket and make sure never to top off anymore
