Forums Speed

Hey there, im real new (look at my post count, its like 2 or 3 i think) hehe.

Just wondering if there is something wrong with the board at the moment (i just timed it, each click takes about 35 seconds before i get any response from the forums)
the actual page load times seem to be not bad, but the lag is insane after i actually click on a link.

So I'm just curious if its being worked on, or if its just a temporary thing. &nbsp;Its 2:10am EST in the morning, normally the net is blazing fast at this time <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

PS - I'm sure you guys know 100x more than me about the forum itself, but the guys in another forum i goto just cleared out thousands of old posts and it sped up the forum surfing a LOT.

Now that you mention clearing out posts... I start thinking.
Clearing out posts would eliminate any form of searching that we can do, and lost thousands of pieces of information, but...
If there was a way that we could drop posts off the forum, but into a &quot;vault&quot; that is available only through the search, and cannot be modified (things more than 6 months old) then we would have the best of both worlds. &nbsp;Less on the forum to display, and a searchable database elsewhere. &nbsp;Not like anyone replies to posts more than 10 pages back, or there would be some serious flames getting thrown. &nbsp;
Mabey someone with more computer knowledge can figure out a way to do this. &nbsp;Mabey no-one cares. &nbsp;I dunno.

I'm not gonna speculate cause I could guess at a number of things slowing it down. But for the love of god it took me 2+ minutes to load this thread, that is to excruciating &nbsp;<img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>
