stance

hey i received my stance basic coilovers but they did not come with the upper camber mounts....wil they send me the right mounts at no charge?
oh and another question in regards to adjusting height. The instructions say to loosen the top nut on the coilovers and loosend the bottom collar before threading the shock body up or down....i tried loosening the top nut but the shaft just spins along with the nut..how do i loosen the top nut without the shaft spining with it??
thanks

i have a set of these on my 93' fastback. to adjust the height you need to spin the base of them to get it to go down or up.

i dont need to loosen the top nut like the instruction say?
I tried threading the shock body like you said and there is a resistance. My hands hurt from trying to screw it down.

I had the same problem with my gr sports, i had to take mine to a local shop to get them adjusted down while on the car. we had no luck trying to spin the body down into the base like it says in the instructions.

No Need, lower the spring perch til the spring isn't captive.

Shouldn't need to loosen the top mount.

You need to lock 2 rings together so they are tight on the shock body, and then use the wrenches against them to rotate the shock body in the lower mount.

Basics do not come with camber plates. Sports come with front plates only. I do not know of any set that comes with rear camber plates. I do not think they even exist

for sure. To my knowledge the gr sports and the "basic's" are the same sine the are the entry level coilovers offered by stance. But if mine don't come with the front camber plates and rear upper mounts I am going to be pissed. Even after all the bad rep that stance has gotten they were my first choice and hopefully I won't be disappointed. According to there site they are included and there photo's and discription would be false information on the product.

IIRC, Stance basics don't come with adjustable front camber plates, but looking on Enjuku's site says otherwise. The Basics I remember were a lot different from the GR+, but now they seem very similar. Well, I'd call up the company you ordered from to get my plates then.

phase2motortrend seems like theyve been ignoring my emails about my camber mount situation...they were fairly quick to reply a few weeks ago when i emailed them about my shipping quotes...

I do not think that the sports come with camber plates. I have the GR+ and those came with plates. What bad rep does stance have. I have heard nothing but good things about Stance. Great Customer service.:bigok:

CA LAURIER...have you tried loosening the top nut in order to thread the shock body down or up...like it says in the instructions

alot of people told me to stay away from stance originally because of the camber plate issues. like i mean alot of people. but still i always wanted them and went for them
really i can't wait to give them a go. so far the one thing i don't like is how you have to adjust the dampening from the bottom. meh makes it so i don't have to pop the hood so what ever.

the top nut use a impact gun. will take that bitch right off than to put everything back together, than use a spring compressor to get them back on. mine came fully assembled and i don't plan on adjusting the height till i get my car moving in a month or so

Doesn't matter
you have adjustable perches, you don't need a spring compressor.
Just got a set of stance basics used, the ride nice.
