Unless the company has managed to get past the typical cheap knockoff fitment issues in the recent years, Race on parts are usually really bad, due to fitment problems.
Now a days companies like Version Select are better known for having decent products despite being knock offs.

my neighbor dealt with them once. they seemed okay, but sent him a cracked part which he had to fix himself. i am sure you will hear mixed reviews about them.

I have friends that use their products. So far so good. You want direct fit?
Vertex is the way to go. Their kit also uses O.E bolts and holes are precut.

Dont get them.
I bought the s13 silvia Hi Flex 20mm front fenders and fitment was horrible.
I spent the whole day dremeling, heat gunning and sanding to make them fit even decent.
Just spend the extra money and get quality.

^yea
its seems to be hit and miss with them
ive never bought through them, its just what i hear
i see people buy hood, aero, etc and have it fit no complaints
then i see some weird shit from them that i cant believe they actually feel comfortable selling.

I got my s15 conversion from them...fitment was pretty good but 1 of my fender tabs was broken off, but I guess that was due to shipping. Overall I was happy with it.

the fitement is great the only prob i had when i bought there s15 conversion was the front fenders this is prob due to the fact it was a carbonfiber front end fenders and all but the fitement issuse were extremely minor and seeing as they are the HIflex i'd say your safe and the facet its for the app you working with then yes you'll be ok

I and several friends have bought raceonusa parts for our FCs and the fitment was fine, just a little work here and there, nothing major. of course they dont fit like stock but I didnt expect them to fit that easily and that well, they arent that pricey either. delivery and communication was always good. just ordered a front lower half bumper for my FC and it arrived in less than a week and that was from coast to coast by freight, not bad at all, they really hustle to get parts out the door fast, unlike most other shops.

All aftermarket kits/body are gonna take some work.
Ive recenty purhased a front FRP INGs copy and fitment was just fine. The quality is great, and it is a product made by them. I actualy had to wait a few days for it to be made, and then i picked it up. Their communication was good too.

it is suggested by bodykit companies to have professional installation... usually meaning some work is going to be needed.. now everyone is under the understanding that things bolt up like OEM and they can do stuff themselves.. Those with bodykit experience probably wouldnt mind a little cutting/trimming here and there...
I used to work in the bodykit industry a few years ago, and it was really stressful when people dont have an understanding of that.
but yah there really is no excuse for stuff that needs to be extrended or shortend.. Bad replication by the lowest manufactuer. But alot of local bodykit companies now a days will actually work with you if thier product is really bad, usually they will pull the mold if it is that bad.. I dont think race on stuff is that bad.
Anyways, i hear good things about shine auto. But im in socal, we have the luxury of driving to these companies to pick up the kits, saves a bunch on shipping.
WHAT SUCKS IS NONE OF THESE BODYKIT COMPANIES REALLY HAVE ORIGINAL DESIGN BODYKITS like the japanese companies..
the kit on my fc is a AIT kit, looks like it fit pretty decent

i got my s14.5 carbonfiber fenders from them, and it fitted like crap.
i give them 5 our fo 10.
if you want good fitment with no work, i suggest OEM or authentic japanese aero. My signal auto front bumper need absolutely no work needed at all.

my c-west bodykit to me fit like a glove after i gave it to my body guy for paint and everything else he said it was shit fitment and everyone who saw my car with the kit on before paint would agree it fit damn near perfect.
ohhh, i see so i guess no one has tried it =( anyone have any suggestions for kouki fenders then? i'd like to go the oem route but it's a lot of $$$ wondering if there is a better alternative that's all thanks =D
A buddy of mine picked-up their full kit with bumpers, sides, and F&R over-fenders a few months back. In my opinion, not worth it - that shits paper thin... hit one cone at the right speed and it'll crack straight through without a doubt. as previously mentioned; fitment was pretty bad.
SimpleSexy180
01-04-2008, 02:14 PM
yeah, itll do that if you hit a cone at the right speed.
its always been like that.

race on charges to much and those who purchased from raceon for a s15 conversion...wow is all i can say. 300 for a radiator support when the company itself makes it cheaper. Search Search and search. wide fenders 180.00 fatboy garage. done. s13, s14 aero is 370.00 a full kit. Fitment isn't bad at all. im sure those who purchased the kits can vouch.

ive hada few racon fenders. and the figment is iffy. the area u put blinker lights was horrible like forget using them.
i was afraid to mount them due 2 how much i had 2 flex them to get them lined up. granted they did i just didn't feel i should flex a fender that much.
as most all knock offs. the gaping wiull never be right 4 any kit that matter.
foot note;
if u have timeand energy to do a lil work to them. go 4 it price is decent

ALL kits, no matter how expensive or well-known, will have fitment issues down the line. Some of the larger companies like Origin and Vertex will replace their molds every 8-10 kits that come out, while the knockoff companies will often use it for a longer period of time. I had Origin stuff that fit like crap.

installing race on right now.. yea fitment is definitely not the best but itll fit. exhaust opening isnt in the middle BUT the downpipe has been modified. front bumper was pretty easy to put on but had to grind some material off. the rear sucked cause they didn't leave enough material and the side tab broke from grinding. so im thinking about riveting a couple of spots and reglass that spot. front fenders are ok but doesn't follow the lines that great. skirts seemed like it was short and pretty much have to be forced on.. weird thing is when i was installing a buddy's vs3 kit, it had the same problem. nothing a big ass hammer can't fix. :) i nailed a cone with just the front fenders and it only made a small crack on it. i think maybe mid 2nd gr drift. the kit is fiberglass; its gonna break. most of the time from parking the damn thing.. imho, its my drift car and i only wanted a 20 ft'er so who gives. if it was my VIP car... i think a perfect fit is a must. ill post pics whenever its done.
ps. i must admit that the tabs for mounting on vs kits are much more rigid looking and the right amount of material. probably the same as other name brand stuff.

I have yet to find a kit that fits like oem, Raceon kits are hit & miss,
sometimes they fit pretty good, and sometimes like crap! but no matter what, kits will need working with to make them fit properly.
One time, One of the kits I bought from raceon, front Bumper fit awesome, rear bumper fit ok, But sideskirts!! omg!! I never did get them to fit properly, they were stuck on twisted and had gaps all over the place!!
no matter how much I cut, trimmed, sanded and filled, they were fucked!
