Hey all,

Quick question that I couldn't seem to reconcile on my own....

I currently have stock T25 and turbo elbow, with a Greddy MX downpipe

The Greddy website says the MX downpipe is 80mm

However, I was interesting in getting the Greddy divided turbine outlet, to be put on when I do my turbo swap in the near future...

All the specs I can find on the Greddy turbo elbow quote it as "70 mm"

Does this mean that it won't bolt right up to my Greddy downpipe?...I know that the stock turbo elbow bolts up to the top of the downpipe just fine....

I am having a hard time believing this is the case....help would be appreciated...

....on another note, are their any 80mm turbo elbows that bolt up to a T25 style turbine outlet (5-bolt)?

thanks

yeah man. regardless of size, it should bolt up fine. I have a ssac divorced turbo elbow to a greddy downpipe on my kat, theres no fitment issues. and you can search around for a 3in turbo elbow, ive seen a couple around. just forgot where =/

ya i know, but 3 inches = 76.2 mm, not 70, not 80

so how is it that a 70 mm outlet turbo elbow bolts up to a 80 mm downpipe, neither of which is technically 3 inches

lol, they use the same flange

If you want to get zomg tuner I need to radius this step from 76mm to 80mm for maximum tuner power go for it.

LOL ^^ that 10mm isnt gonna matter much (ur turbine outlet is like 40mm or somethin)

if you look closely at the "inlet" of your greddy downpipe, right after the flange, and right before the bend, you'll see the piping is a little more narrow than the rest of the piping. but yes, like mcrussel said, the flanges are they same.

Ok thanks.....I mean I wasn't going for the "extra power" hahah

I just was wondering what the TRUE specs on the downpipe were I guess.

So the verdict is that the very beginning of the downpipe is a little bit narrower (~70mm?)...

I figured it would bolt up no problem, just was interested as to why one is 70mm, the other is 80mm

Thanks
