hey guys, so my ebrake doesnt seem to be working right, well, it works but its not very strong....for example, as im driving down the road going 35, if i pull the ebrake all the way up as ard as i can, i can barely feel a difference, maybe at the most a very slight grab....but this scares me because if i have to park on a hill or something, im afraid my car might roll off.

Is there anything i can do to fix this?? let me know...thanks everyone

:newbie: you must be tired or something...theres a 10mm nut that can be tightened or loosened on your e-brake. its inside the cover. if you still have trouble buy a factory service manual. every tuner should have one. even shops do.

Please search next time aswell.
No need to make more threads about questions that have already been awnsered.

Also check the condition of your rear discs/brakes, make sure they're ok.

<--- i agree with Mano. Make sure the rear pads are grabbing well, even under normal driving conditions without the use of the ebrake. Ebrake cables do stretch out over time and do need adjustment but it should still grab, you may have to pull the handle up quite a bit further though. Adjust the cable and try, try again. Welcome to Zilvia bud! p.s...the search aspect on this site is a great tool and you will get flamed pretty bad for not using it, (just a heads up).

Tighten it see if that changes things..
dont tighten it too much.
you wont be able to even yank it up..
and yea what mano said too:naughtyd:

Like everyone said, tighten it a little at a time and test it out. If you get to the point where it is super tight, but still doesn't stop your car....that probably means you have a problem with the rear calipers and/or pads.

One of my calipers was leaking brake fluid so when I pulled the ebrake only one rear caliper was really locking up.
