Is it flooding all four cylinders? Have you checked the MAF? What kind of BOV system do you have? Its probably not a timing issue so the CAS probably has nothing to do with it. The MAF is more than likely the problem.

Did it ever run right?

I had a similar problem and it ended up being a wiring problem. If you did the wiring yourself, make sure the wiring (especially for the fuel pump) is totally correct. My guess is your wiring is incorrect and your fuel pump is pumping too much gas... happened to me lol...

ummm the car runs for a bout 2 minutes then starts to bog out..so yes it ran before, and yes i did the wiring myself and i think it might be that or my fuel regulator

Greddy BOV, i boost leak tested my lines and my bov was letting air throught it at like 70 PSI...

Ok then check what I mentioned. If you smell a lot of gas after it dies then maybe it is flooding, if not, could be getting starved of fuel. Are you jumping the car or running it off a battery? You said battery was fine right?

yea battery , and alternator are both fine

do you have a fuel pressure gauge on your rail?
jakethesnake
01-04-2008, 04:19 PM
no, i do not have a fuel pressure guage on my rail

fuel pump, filter, regulator all stock ??

fuel pump is a walboro 255, and stock regulator

maybe the regulator went bad and its not regulating the amount of fuel getting into the engine

do you guys know where i can get a new stock regulator??
jakethesnake

do you guys think that its the regulator ?? because when i bought my swap my fuel regulator was bent really bad so i jsut bent it back and tryed to go with it...what do you think?????

pull the vac line off the regulator see if it makes a difference, you can always "squeeze the fuel line going to the rail to restrict some pressure see if it clears up a little, (if the FPR is bad and over charging) seen that work a few times.
was the motor running good before this happen? or is this like its "first start", in ur car?
pull your fuel rail off, put the ignition on, see if your injectors are leaking.

just to make sure the fpr is connected with a rubber line to the bottom hard line ? and the fuel filter is connected with a rubber line to the upper hard line

I belive so. I line in 2 lines out. Or maybe its 1 in 1 out lol

what?? does anyone have any pictures of thier set up if they got a aftermarket FPR ??
DC5RACER

pretty sure its fuel line > filter > fpr

does ayone know of any other options?? thanks alot to all the people that helped out
stock regulator can't keep up with the walbro, get an nismo FPR (direct bolt on, 2 bolts actually and it's adjustable) and also check all your injector O-rings, I had a similar problem and it ended up being my O-rings were shot.

stock fpr works fine with a walbro, and in this situation it doesn't matter cuz he cant even get the car running right. a stock pump or walbro wouldnt matter at this point.
the fpr, is always After the rail..
it should go like this.. fuel line in, fuel filter, (psi gauge if u have 1), fuel rail, FPR, fuel return line.
if u can get another ECU id swap it out just to make sure thats not the problem. because u said it ran for 2min. before it had this problem right? that means your set-up is correct, and u might have had a sensor failure. maybe bad wiring?... any ECU error codes?
i hate problems like this, took me 2 months to fix mine... (turned out the STOCK ecu i got wasn't stock at all...)

Make sure to change your oil as well, if you smell fuel on the dipstick. Try and listen to the injectors as well with a stethescope. Maybe their stuck open

when i got my swap one of the lines that go off the FPR was bent so i hit it a few times and hoped for the best...do you guys think this woud be the problem??

i checked my MAF wiring and im pretty sure is wired up fine

change oil...????
it seems like an engine hoist was connected to the real (common douchebag/lazy engine removal procedure)
sounds like a leaky injector(s) or a bad o-ring(s).
step 1. disconnect battery
step 2. remove entire rail including the injectors, be careful while removing them.
step 3. use your best judgement to cover/protect your ENTIRE engine bay while the rail is out to prevent fuel from spewing all over the place
step 4. get some type of bucket or pail and place the entire rail with injectors securely inside the pail.
step 5. put on some goggles because you don't know how bad this leak is\
step 6. re connect battery; observe. do you see any awkward injector behavior? DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START ENGINE
if your problem is what i think it is, when you connect your battery, your injectors are leaking while the engine is off.
