AZ240SX dyno day. www.az240sx.org
~98 octane pump gas (mixture of 91 and 101 octane).
Car is now officially out of compressor, turbine, turbine housing, downpipe, and exhaust cam... Power difference between 1.1 bar and 1.3 bar of boost was minor... Time to play with the configuration and run the same test again.
...and yes, stock bottom end. Same one that's been boosted for the past 40k miles.

Great googaly-moogaly. Damb that's a lot for that amount of boost. Is it as peaky as it looks though?
I think I saw your car when I was out in AZ last week. Couldn't tell, but not too many white s14a's w/ fmics I'd guess (couldn't see wheels or wing b/c I was at a light). Gotta say, after seeing all the rice out there, your car stands out even more!
Matt - know which car is coming to VIR yet?

You know this why i love this forum;
Same post pretty much at Freshalloy and those a'holes shit all over the guy about longevity.
Congratulations, that's awesome; you've got more balls than I do.

damn internet security crap!
Anyway... he's running really rich. Rich enough for more power <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

That is really impressive. I hope no one thinks I am a "KA hater". I have one for sale, as a matter of fact, if anyone's interested...
Anyway, why is he running sooo rich? Is there any reason in particular?

Well, no one would give a damn about the longetivity of a KA anyway, beside, most know not to get into it with me on the KA. I've already proven most myths to be wrong about the KA.

That's JWT's tuning... Z32 guys use SAFC to lean it out for more power, but with the 9.5:1 compression ratio stock bottom end, it's added insurance.

Great Job Ty. Lookin strong. What are you planning to do about the compressor wheel? gonna change anything since the system seems to be blowing hot air?

have you seen his compressor wheel? the damn thing looks like he used it to grind rocks into sand or something. sheesh! did you drive to Las Vegas and forget to put on an air filter or something, TY? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

He said 1.3 bar.
The conversion is 14.5038psi/bar...so he's running 18.8549psi--pretty much 19psi.

That's what I have been trying to say all along, but you guys didn't believe me.
anyway, my car "feels" like that torque curve, except mine is just about 50-100ft-lbs lower, that's all. I get a crazy kick at 4000rpm and then it goes softly down hill from there. I'm running really rich too, I haven't tuned my AFC, just leaned it out for cruising, so I still get 24mpg.

Seems like high boost for the power... Have you looked into Porting and polishing the head, some new cams, and high flow valves?
