After I saw your intercooler install I stopped looking.

Usually when you need a coupler, you order one, not try and make one out of two with glue..

Are you retarded? That's a reducing coupler.

I'm not retarded, but I think you are blind.. The coupler on the right.. Yeah, it is a homemade reducing coupler.. (Unless they thought it would be cool to make hourglass shaped couplers).. SSauto doesn't give couplers longer than 4". A 4" 3" to 2.75" Plus 2.75" coupler. Thats what one of my roommates used to do to his own car. And when we went on road trips, the glue would fail. A $25,000 car taken down for not spending $10 on an easy to find part.

I'm all for ingenuity but not for ghetto installs with descent parts, especially when its in Portuguese on another forum.

eh, he'll just learn the hard way when it blows under 4lbs of pressure..:keke:

If the coupler fails the engine will still run like a non-turbo, whats the big deal its not going to damage anything. I thought you were going to give him shit because the intercooler is bigger than the ca18det, and its still a nice build:) That xs-power ex. manifold would scare me the most, if that fails ... hmmm theirs an other thread about someones cracked manifold on here and I've seen various others crack on other forums.

After looking at it, if you compare the upper edge to the bottom edge I am convinced it is a reducing coupler and not glued together. However, it probably gives that appearance since he appears to be stretching the coupler down and out with a pipe that is a little out of whack and not lined up correctly which would give it an odd appearance.

the only thing I do not like about this project is the fact that he didn't clean his engine bay, which tells me he is comfortable working in dirt, that is just not cool IMO since shit will alway ass up something or make it harder to work out bugs when doing crap like this, but again just my opinion.

What the kit comes with:

The kit installed:

Two pictures of same coupler:

Look at top right hand corner, part of one of the rightmost, smaller coupler is left on his workbench:

I think he may have just glued and taped it... Is it so hard to believe he did that?

i doubt the same thing. people just looking for flaws. ask the builder.

Holy shit CSI!!! :bowrofl: I am not saying it is hard to believe but I am saying you are limited to your choices of glue that would actually bond the stuff and still look somewhat clean Kinf of hard to believe that he glued it and it looks as clean as it does, if he did glue it I cannot wait to see the "my car is running like shit" thread.

Ok, here I am, after all that its been said, you are a realy retarded man!!!!!!!:mrmeph:

What the hell do you think!

That is a reducing coupler and not glued together, i am not stupid.

I am not a rookie, and if you see my project you would understand that!

More incredable, is for you, to go search around in my project for a photo, that would sustain, what you said.

Grow up man!

You must have a very creative mind but come up with this idea, it only demonstrates that you dont understand wath you are talking about, but I understand....

Not trying to be a dick or anything, but if the coupler fails it's going to be a huge boost leak. It will be leaking a ridiculous amount of metered air that's already gone through the MAFS. The car will probably run, but not as simple as being like a non-turbo. It will run kind of like a car with MAFS problems. haha. Because that's what it is.

holy shit i can not believe that:
A) there is a coupler glued togethor
B) someone searched your pictues and found claim to the truth
C) if its not glued then haha at having a picture making it seem even more so
