i recently found these braces on ebay from some "jdm warehouse" seller. they look te be well made and pretty rugged. after some searching it turns out the company is based in Australia and has quite a line up for many brands of cars. the thing that i liked the most was the 4 point underbrace for the S13. it looks like it goes from the front TC bushings to the front control arms? anyone confirm? thanks. linky: http://www.ultraracingaustralia.com/page14.htm

I have their fender braces, they work great and were a good value. Can't speak for their other products.

Did you notice much difference when you installed those fender braces? I have seriously considered getting them but I don't know if it is worth it.
The braces themselves look like they are good quality. As long as they fit good and the welds are good I don't think that there is a whole lot that could go wrong with them.

Actualy I wanted to order their rear 4pt brace until I saw one of their braces on Ebay and the country of orign said fucking TAWIAN? I decied to spend my money on a tein f stb instead and I'm not sure what I want for the rear. I remeber this guy under the name "YoungAndArtless" trying to pawn these bars off as the best quality and I also had the impresion they were made here from his pics.

Direct quote from their Au site ... Ultra Racing Australia was established in 2006, As the First Australian Distributor of Ultra Racing Strengthing Bars.... Ultra Racing is a Malaysian-based specialist manufacturer in Chassis Handling and Tuning components.

you should take a look at some of the crashes they have documented on that site, some of those bars are pretty much life-savers, quality looks to be far, far above average

The fender braces are above-average in build quality. Far beefier than anything else I've seen on the market.
They're Malaysian in origin.
Chas used to sell them but now who knows.
Let Jonnie Fraz know you want some fender braces and he'll make us all some.
Yeah, I bumped this old thread.

With my s13 on jackstands for the last month or so and without fenders I've been admiring my fender braces every time I walk past. They still look great, better than anything else I've seen sold. If I had to do it over again I'd have something custom made, but these are a great value.
I think kenji (burning86) or someone got in a wreck with a fender brace and it saved a lot of damage and was unscaved.

I just ordered the S13 3-Point Fender Brace.
The underbrace.. well.. I already have the nismo power brace and yashio factory tension rod brace.. but... ill see... and the rear 4 point.. well... could be useful on my hatch but... i am going with a cage heh... the best rear strutbar/braces imho are the miracle brace (that connect c pillars and strut towers in a twist.. hard to explain need to find a pic) and the ultra racing 4 point :)... its a good deal imho. If I knew, I woulda bought theirs not DC Sports.

Holy crap what the hell, there is THREE items (different people/companies). I've ordered in last week+ and i am having trouble communicating with these ppl + I paid obviously. No shipping tracking numbers, communication, this is starting to piss me off lol.
Well I just ordered this when i posted that msg... so they better ship it to me hahahaha.. I hate being item-less + money-less... then again who doesn't... I like to get my hands on the item I pay for asap :P

^no, we want ultra racing brace :P its more beefy and technically suppose to be cheaper than that jdm shyte
And having a fender brace period, is better than not having anything.
Your "I hate anything with the JDM label on it" attitude is really starting to be an annoyance.
If you want it so bad, have someone make you some. Probably cost less than having those Ultra Racing ones imported and shipped and then marked up for a profit anyway.
Ask Bing to make you some and stop being the most difficult person on earth, please.
a_ahmed
07-09-2008, 01:15 PM
lmao, the reason i hate jdm shit is cause its marked up and overhyped. Ultra racing braces are made in malaysia so call it mdm if you like :P But for the prices that they were going + being beefier they are worth it. JDM shit is like 200++ shipping + customs + wait = fuck that.
Bing.. meh.... he should consider making it i guess.. i should contact him, would be a good seller if done cheap, but he makes alot of his stuff profitable for himself (naturally) as well so... whatever, imho some of the stuff he sells i would never buy and could prolly get a better deal either money-wise or quality-wise.
Making something yourself prolly would be better (duh) but would take time and materials so maybe not. I have a busy schedule and three cars to maintain, so fuck that (for the time being).
Can't beat 120$+shipping for something better than that overpriced/overhyped JDM shit. It's just that I was too late on it.
And you mention SPL, 250USD+shipping+customs wtf is wrong with you and its weak sauce:

^ Now imagine you don't even have those shiny silver pieces there.
How is that better than not having at least those silver piece there?
Are you trying to tell me that you are going to be able to tell the difference between having those SPL/Nams brace versus the Ultra Racing stuff?
Because if your answer is yes, then you probably should be trying to get into professional racing driving for real race teams with real race cars.

lol @ jdm fanboys
130+shipping (and triangulated not just two bars connected with a few bracings on the edges)
or JDM tyte:
250+shipping (picture provided, not bad, better than nothing but hello, go to local steel shop get some fucken bars and you can make ti for 20 bux the same as this JDM CHROME YO brace).
uuuh i dont know...
You two are now just being retards in the last few comments cause
a. you're not useful
b. you are not helping people get UR braces
c. you first argued there is no difference now prove the difference...
d. price, how i should get it made by bings or something but now who cares just get the shiny one cause its better than none (but 250USD+shipping+customs)
you're confusing me, I fail to see where you're being helpful at all UR brace or no brace at all
So it's not JDM tyte for you? who gives a fuck.
And lastly, i have two daily drivers, im building this car as a track car, gtfo, i will do whatever the fuck i want with my car.

You can't.
That site looks like it was made from 1996, by a third grader.
As for a_ahmed, I guess he fails to realize that he can no longer get it from the site that sold them originally for $130 + shipping, and that right now, if he wants any, he'll either have to get them from Malaysia or Australia.

Obviously we know that its no longer available and that the website is waaay out of date and sucks ass.
Someone needs to start selling them like that guy was... 130+ shipping... frickin cmon thats a good deal... so thats all the point was, plus very beefy n not really that heavy according to racepar.. he also welded it, his car's picture (awesome car and silver like mine + same tire/wheel combo more or less hehe)

If the Australian website isn't even selling those bars for anywhere close to $130 + shipping USD, what makes you think you can get those same exact bars, like a year later, for $130 + shipping USD?
Have you not gotten affected by the price increase of EVERYTHING due to the increase of oil prices?
If you're so impatient about getting those bars, why don't you take charge of the situation and run with it?
You always sit there in front of your computer complaining about everything and bitching about something, and yet you do nothing.
Seriously, if you want them so bad, go talk to the Malaysian HQ and work out a deal with those guys and be the North American distributor, then sell them for $130 + shipping USD.

Some stuff is cheaper some stuff is more expensive there, so who cares, we're not in aussie land. And you're just being a troll now as you fail at life to provide us a local distributor for the same or similar price but instead are going on criticizing me like a jerk for not agreeing with you on something completely off topic and not UR brace related or related to that UR brace distributor's failure to distribute any more of these aka the topic.

This thread is pathetic! 99.9% of fender braces out there are fucking lame! The UR ones are the best I have seen so far and are light as hell, that is actually my car with the UR fender braces installed above on this page. To clear the pricing up,I ordered mine from Chas for $150 SHIPPED to my fucking door. Where the hell did anybody get $200 + from? Unfortuanetly Charles Moore seems to have gone AWOL and as I understand it he still owes people parts. I have tried to contact ultra racing directly via e-mail, but have not gotten a response. The bottom line is that if you do not have any information that would help people interested in ultra racing's products get their hands on said products then shut up and get out. Your posts are useless.

Nah, I'm DONE with UR unless they get another US distributor. I am going to shoot some e-mails to the "other" distributor whose e-mail is posted in this thread, but unless he can convince me that he is A: NOT infact just Charles Moore using another name (Chas came off shady enough for me to think that he might do that), and B: Not a flaky piece of crap like Chas and has the ability and desire to actually answer e-mails and provide a working contact #.

I picked up a set of their fender braces from ebay. I don't typically skimp, but I think these are a spot where I can give up a brand name to save some coin. I think they're a good value...there's a lot of odd angles they have to take. The welds look good. I did have to hammer in the "chassis flanges" a bit to make them sit right. I also had to pick up some M8x1.25 30mm bolts to replace the original door bolts. I haven't bolted the front flanges yet, I'm waiting until I get the car back to ride height. But I think they're a solid product.
Used Ultra braces on my last car which was a budget build, no problem, it was a 3 point rear strut brace, like the previous fella said it took a couple of well placed hammer hits for the center flange to sit well but no big deal. They are decent budget products

I have a bunch of them and can confirm they are beefy and a good add on when using a roll cage. I have used a number of different braces. The UR are by far the better ones.
