Common ass problem.
Tell him to go up the driveway at an angle, and stop being noob.
or get an LSD, and drive right up.

Yeah its totally normal
Happens to me all the damn time! Go at an angle that doesn't feel normal.. haha
Tell your friend to get an LSD now!

....
The tires are slipping. Remember how an other diff acts. Anyone that as coilovers will know this problem. I have this problem a lot on stop signs with bump or inclined going into a right hand turn.
Get some type of LSD that'll fix it. But other than that go at a angle or get better throttle control.

Man it's like no one has ever owned a lowered car with a open diff.
Here's the guy's problem.
He got coilovers, lowered his shit, don't know how to drive up at an angle so as to not scrap his shit, but he's also having a problem of just having one wheel spinning and getting stuck.
Shit happens all the time like this.
Here's your solutions; get a diff, raise your car back up, or just learn how to drive correctly at an angle.
I hope your friend doesn't have a bodykit either.

The open diff is unloading so he gets stuck right.
What I used to do is hold the e-brake up and just drive. The e-brake will hold the two wheels together making them spin together. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Get a diff!!

^^^ The "ebrake trick" might help, but that's made more for a car with an LSD, that just isn't engaging soon enough (you dont want to have to slip your clutch to get enough torque to have the diff lock, so you just ease off the clutch with the ebrake on, and it locks the diff).
This is one of the main reasons why people that don't drift/roadrace get LSDs - because hanging a back wheel and sitting there spinning makes you feel really dumb.

just press in the clutch, rev to 6k and drop the clutch. that should get your friend get up those steep driveways.
