You can find most of the information you need at www.unstable-hybrids.com. They've built an rb20det powered 240sx, and iirc the rb25 is physically very similar. Look around a bit, you're asking for a lot of information on a swap that I don't think has been done in the US, or at least not made general public knowlege. Price of the clip should be found at unstable as well. My I ask why you are looking at the rb25? It's performance advantages can be realized in the other, easier alternatives. If it's just to be unique, that's OK too

Oh, almost forgot. 1/4 mile times are damn near impossible to judge as there are many more factors than your crank hp that effect it. If I were to make a wild guess, the rb25 makes what, 240, 280hp? You are prolly looking at 13-14 second quarter times (mebbe, that's a best guess).

well actually the RB25det in a 240sx has been done a few times here in socal. S14 version is my buddy Gary Narusawa.
In a S13 its Gary McKinney at McKinney motorsports . I know Mckinney has a website I would recommend doing a google on it.

Trust me... the RB20DET powered 240 from unstable hybrids is INCREDIBLE. Remarkably clean install, perfect auto to 5 speed swap, and even included the tach from the R32 clip!!
I had a rare once in a lifetime chance, and I took it.. haha..
Trust me... *wink* it's NICE. =)

If all you want to do is have a 12 second 240sx then a turbo KA may be your cheapest route. If I wanted a 12second car that was cheap I would go with the talon, but I like to 240, so I understand why you want one. Also, my friend has a 12 second talon, so I know what you mean by everybody having one. I pretty much have a 13 second 240 and I did it really cheap, mostly because I didn't rebuild the motor (yet! and I put together a turbo kit myself. However, you can run 12s with the KA cheaper then you can with any other route on the 240 (IMO). You should be able to do a turbo kit for $3000 and new pistons (pretty much all you need) for $500. This seems much cheaper then the RB25 plan, but it would be cool to have a RB powered 240. If you have the time, money or skills, I recomend putting the toyota 2JZ in the 240 over the RB, I think it will make more power and the install shouldn't be any harder.
