This is a wierd one to explain. I found some people with similar issues but not quite the same, and not all the threads are conclusive.

Anyway. Say I turn sharp left, when I straighten out again the steering wheel is off center to the left. When I turn sharp right the wheel is perfectly aligned in the center.

Steering response is sharp when I turn right, but vague when I turn left. I have to turn the wheel significantly more to turn left than to turn right.

I just replaced the tie rods and it helped but it still does it. Makes drifting to the right a complete guessing game as the angle seems to change alot.

The fact that it seems to be a one sided problem (drivers side) makes me rule out the rack. Any other ideas??

and im guessing you had it aligned after you replaced the inner/outer tie rod ends?

.. possibly a worn out rack...?

Been aligned, still same problem. Doubt its the rack. Seems to be a one sided issue.

Try doing rack bushings, I have had issues like this so I did tie rods and rack bushings and I have no problems now.

i got a set of ES steering rack bushings right after doing kazama tie rods and it did a similar thing - fixed that issue for me - they're like 15$ i think and they take a hour or so to put in...
