What kind of racing are you planning on doing with the car?...

I support SPL's product and use their coilovers and subframe bushings... I'll be buying their multi link and steering pieces in the near future...

I highly recommend the Energy Suspension Master Bushing kit also...

SPL all the way great product and great support and customer service. I can not imagine going with anyone else unless their parts turned my car into a ferrari

On my S13 I run Cusco tension rods, kazama toe rods and JIC rucas. I love them and have never had a problem with any. For my S14 though I will get SPL links for sure. SPL rocks!

I have PowerTrix. I havent had a chance to run them since my car is still in the build phase, but i dont see an issue with them. Real beefy units. Save a little money over the other brands.

When the time comes Im going to upgrade all to QA1 Rod Ends. That is what makes up a considerable amount of the total cost. I have seen the Kazama's and they look similar in construction/size. Any one of the brands mentioned are good. I would stay away from Megan and other like companies since it is your suspension.

see im all for jap genuine brands and highest quality of parts... but ive thought - seriously... 1500 on cusco gear compared to like 600 + bushing/balljoint/spacer kit for a high quality but non jap brand...

are powertrix stuff made in the USA like Battleversion? i dislike china/taiwan with a passion

SPL seems to have the highest-quality stuff for what you're looking for.

Customer service is spectacular.

I understand you from Australia, but you should watch how you throw around the term "Jap". It doesnt bode well with Americans of Japanese descent.

Too many threads like this lately but here is what I suggest SPL, Battle Version, Peak Performance. JDM names are good but overpriced when compared to American companies and some have problems as in Kazama tie rod ends fucking up on them after 2 track events. I needed adjustments fast and the season was coming up so I went for Megan real links to test them out. I only got to do 2 track events before the season was over. So I cant suggest them to anyone just yet.

Also the Megan Rear RUCAs apparently dont allow for enough adjustment on really slammed cars. I'm not sure if this is a Alignment guy error maybe the hole suspension setup itself.

My personal Setup...
Kazama TC Rods - Perfect..
Tein Inner/Outer Tie Rods - Decent stock Replacement..
Peak Performance Toe Link - Perfect ..
Megan Rear Upper Control Arm - runs out of adjustment on slammed cars
Megan Traction Control Link - eh well see if it fucks up

mmm indeed... im just stumped at the moment where to go... i deffinately dont want to cheap out on my links/bushings as it will defeat the purpose of what im building my car for...

but when it comes down to it - everyone uses everyonelses designs for links... alot of everyones different branded links come out of the same factory in china/taiwan...

i guess im looking for a balance between cost and reliability/functionality... im not made of money - but i really do put myself out most of the time as i always have to have japanese branded parts...

*shits on his front step and sighs*

anyone got anything to say about PowerTrix?

I live 10 minutes away from SPL PARTS. I have been there many times and seen first hand how they present themselves; very professionally. The parts are definitely the best quality for the price. The customer service is phenomenal. I have a few of their products and have had no problems at all. Several of my friends here use SPL products and have nothing but good things to say about them.

Kuah is ALWAYS helpful, even for noob questions, and ALWAYS makes thing right if you do have a problem.

SLP ftmfw!

if u dont have the money, just say it.

not at all... otherwise i wouldnt be looking to order from the states

a few reasons why im leaning towards powertrix is due to several people mentioning SPL Parts are using other branded parts and renaming them their own... which if true - is not cool

ive been talking to charles from powertrix and he has explained his R&D and quality control processes... and the standards definately seems top notch - that and also a 1 year warranty on any malfunction (not caused by crashing)

obviously im still open to further comments and suggestions - and by no means am i starting an spl parts flamewar... im just looking for fair and reasonable pricing and good quality product

spl warranty is nearly lifetime
ive seen him replace stuff for poeple who installed it WRONG and broke it
kuah has always backed up my stuff since day one
and he offers upgrades when u have an older model and want a new one

spl does not rebadge.
they sell cusco s14 arms because kuah said they were the best arms u can buy. no use trying to beat something thats already well made.

id take spl over anything anyday

quality
service
and support.

just saying
might take that into your consideration.

Spl. NOTHING else.

Even for my s14 ruca's I used s13 spl rucas.

Fuck all other companies.

KUAH is the best way you can go.

I've never had a complaint nor one bad thought about spl. I'm going to keep supporting them.

Doesn't SPL also take the Cusco arms and replace the heim joints on them to something better?

I have an S14 set of powertrix arms that got when they were getting started. Was having suspension problems at the time so it was mostly a money decision. Crashed that S14 before the arms were installed so some of those parts went into my next car, an S13. Daily drove on them for about 5 months with no problems. S13s been since sitting for about a year and the parts (RUCAs and TC rods) are going into the current S14. Rest is poly.
Would I have had the extra money at the time I'd rather have gotten SPL stuff. Have bought various items from Kuah in the past and been very happy with them.
