240 ricer encounter... read read

i've seen this homo around but this was the first tiem i actually spoke with him.

he came in to my store adn was lookign for an amp to power his subs, his amp wasnt cutting it.

i heard his subd on the way in so i asked if i could see that car and toldd him who i was... i had encountered his x-girlfriend last week, you may recall she is the who told me she had a VG30DETT in an old 200sx...

anyways....

this guy has WAl- Mart brand Jensen subs, running off a $40 hollywood amp.

and the cheapest sony deck available.

i ask him whats under the hood he says....

"a full 'JAP'-spec motor"

i pop the hood guess what i find.....

a bone stock KA, he says gonna have a shop he spoke with TWIN TURBO it.....

i say you cant do that, and guys are runnign 491rwhp with a single turbo anyways...

"yes you can twin turbo this, i know a guy who twin turboed a silvia, it's just gonna cost me alot of money"

i put the hood back down and walked back inside.....

he paid $8000 for a rusted out 93, put a veilside kit on it, it's an auto with 195,000 kms and a poo interior.

and a bone stock KA, you know the 'JAP' spec kind....

i can't wait to meet someone that claims to had a PURE JDM engine....and when they show it to me i will act dumb and be like "WOOOOOOW that is soo COOL"....then i will show them my engine and ask them why they look so different.......

i didnt want to tell him that he had the original engine still, he would have just denied it anyways.

but the kid could barely dress himself, and last week his idiot of an x-girlfriend said his parents had all the money.

btw he's painting it prelude electron blue or something, but it's still auto and he is still an idiot.

Yeah, kinda reminds of this time I went to wal mart and saw a NEON, yes a NEON....with a big "TURBO CHARGED" sticker that blocked about 80% of his rear window. &nbsp;He also had about 20 other misc. stickers. &nbsp;He came outside and we asked him about it. &nbsp;He said he got the turbo off Ebay for less than $500. &nbsp;The car also came complete with a white plastic hood, that's right I said plastic. &nbsp;A primer bumper, and an ugly spoiler. &nbsp;I saw him once around town. &nbsp; I don't street race..but if I get the chance.....I'll gladly light him up...BTW, his car was an AT too.

heh, that's fucking sad. however, the neon story just sounds like an average ricer in STL... you've got to be have an outright grotesque car to make me look on in disgust nowadays. i'll take some pictures of this one kid's '91 CRX at my school. in fact, i can see it out the window right now. let me indulge.

the car is a '91 CRX base model. the only thing it really has going for it is the fact that it's a stick. it's got the little turd D16 engine in it. that's like, what, 120 hp? less? he's got the Pacesetter catback on it, which, needless to say, sounds horrible. it sounds like a stock muffler with a hole in it. that and an APC intake are the only "performance" modifications on the car.
that said, let's talk about the body. oh, he's obviously going for show. and if he ever gets around to finishing it properly, it might be a pretty outrageous, attention drawing little carpet queen! that will never happen, though, because he's clearly never going to be able to get this thing looking right. he's got some cheap fake veilside kit that barely fits. he put it on himself and none of the lines match up. where there's big gaps, he tried to fill in with wads of Bondo. never sanded the bondo down though. he pulled off his bump-guards on the sides and tried to fill THAT gap in with bondo. didn't sand anything down, just threw bondo on top of the paint. he also tried to fix his rustastic rear fenders with bondo, needless to say, didn't work out. so there's big lumps of silly putty all over this car. he also bought a pair of stick-on non funtional ram air hood scoops, which he put on BACKWARDS. next problem: the paint. it's got stock red paint, which has faded horribly and has mad skin cancer. then there's red primer, grey primer, and rusty brown primer. there's huge drip lines all over the car because he doesn't know how to paint evenly. i didn't realize primer was such a challenge. oh, and when he primered his front bumper, he didn't cover anything, so his radiator and turn signals are primered too. oh, and there's primer on his pacesetter. inside, things aren't much better. a bling bling shiftknob from autozone, a couple sticks of neon on the ceiling around his rusty non-functional moonroof.

this CRX makes me sad. i feel bad looking at it. i want to steal it and take all the rice off it, sand it down and get a cheap Maaco job, and sell it to an old person so they can properly use it...
