I've had both.
Liked the super drifts much more.
Damping felt better matched to the springs.

to each his own?
personal prefrence. just like a motor build, suspension is the same. its what you look for in how your car will act.

I had Tein Super Drifts on my S13 but after RYO RII Dampers, i will look no where else.
I wish coil overs were like shoes, where you could just go to the coil over store and test drive cars with all the different coil overs you're interested in. Sounds like a good idea. Communism sounds like a good idea too..

You are best off trying to find locals with 240s with those coilover and going for a ride, and if they allow, drive the car.

I had the Stance GR+. They are very good just make sure you get the ones with the good Pillow mount. There was a whole thread like 10 pages long about this.

You will never know how good coilovers are unless they are setup properly.
So riding in other peoples car won't tell a true story all of the time.
I spend a lot of time adjusting my coilovers untill I find a place where I'm happy at. Before I had my super drifts adjusted, they felt like they were blown. But after finding the correct preload and damping it was oh so sexy.
I had the stance gr+pro's as well, and spent quite some time on them. I am in no way saying that they are, "worse". I'm just stating that in my experiences and time with both of the coilovers at hand that the tein SD's would be a better choice.
I would've bought Edgar's set if he still had the ones he sold for the s13. Damn impulse buying more s-chassis...
So I'll probably end up getting tanabe sevens. haha.

yes thread cc3usmc posted is very helpful.
On a personal note i will add that i have used both and althou i think they both were very good for the price i liked the Stance better. I never been a huge tein fan like some only reason i got the teins was because i got them brand new for 1k shiped.
I think you cant go wrong with either one though. They are both quality products.
