Good Video Convertor???? Free???

So Ipods only play certain formats and every software to convert most video format to those ipod formats cost money!!! But come on now...... Anyone got some good free video convertor software?? Or can "obtain said software" a "certain" way?? If so PM me! Thx!

I used to always use Videora until videos started draining my batterys too fast.

WinAvi is a pretty good. I don't recall if it does iPod format though. Only negative to it is if you don't have the full version you get "WinAvi Converter blah blah blah" on the screen and some features are blocked as well.

vlc or media player classic plays anything, why do you need to convert it?

Super C - google it it's free. Converts FLVs, has presets for Ipod, PSP and even cell phone. Almost idiot proof but lacks flexibility and manipulation. Also a bit twitchy but by far the best and most robust free encoder I've come across.

Ipods can only play mp4 / mov / gay quicktime format videos. Thats pretty much why I need a convertor. p0rn on my ipod ftw! haha j.k

use videora that is what I use, make sure to check the settings though because before, it converted my file and it ended up being bigger then the original (WTF)
