You could just prime the whole car then leave it like that untill you're ready to get a decent paint job. Or just take it to macco, it won't be great but it'll be a lot better than spray paint.
Are you just painting the kit or the whole car? If you're doing the whole car you can buy a cheap paint gun and a cheap compressor. It won't cost much more to do it that way, then wet sand and buff the whole car and it'll look alright. It'll take about 30 cans of spray paint to do a whole car depending on how many coats you do. plus primer and clear.

my god... I don't even know why i'm gonna humor this :( . It'll cost you more money in spray paint cans than a Maaco Job...if you have to paint it for ass cheap. Primer is one of the only way you are gonna get an even coat cause you can sand it smooth, no runs. I tried the spray paint when i was 14 yrs old on my dads car...never again, and judging by the red squares you might have the same abilities as i did then. But good luck either way.

Painting a whole car isn't cheap. If you are budget minded, just get a cheap paint job done. The Chad is right, buying paint cans would be more than going to Maaco and getting their basic paint job. Do all the body work yourself, you can't screw that up since it is already screwed up. Fix the rust spots, fix dents, prime it, sand it, etc. Just get someone to paint for you.

Ugh.. if you ever want to paint your car with nice paint, ever... don't spray paint it. Save your money and at least get real paint (even if it's like $500 bux). Do you have any idea how hard it is for good paint to attach to spray paint?
P.S. Why would you only want to paint the kit? I would just wait to put it on...
hah yeah, don't skimp out on paint
if you really want to spray paint it, do lots of wetsanding
this is a piece off my bike that I spraypainted

took a long time though, and that's a small piece

yeah my buddy and i Walmart rattle canned his old bike and it turned out ok, but chipped like crazy and still cost a decent amt due to buying the "nicer" paint. Small pieces are great for spray painting b/c you can make simple small strokes with the spray and just keep wet sanding without spending days like on full sized automotive shit, i.e. bumpers, sideskirts etc...
--So i suppose if i were you an wanted uniformity of some sort i'd get a ton of grey primer and coat the crap out of it?? ....not true if i were you i'd have the time and effort to rent a gun, buy some paint and spray it myself. But again good luck with whatever you choose.

--Sorry i suck at life :( I don't mean to come off negative i just hate to see spray paint touch a nice car bud, esp since you are putting a nice kit on it.
--But yeah, just call your local Nissan body shop or any reputable shop with your VIN and they'll pull it up and get you the paint code right quick...might even be located on the inside of your driver door jam?
--as a note, do some practice shots on the back/inside of the panels or some random sheet metal till you get a good stroke/groove going. Good Luck! :)

Ha...I didn't know the red squares mean you don't know anything.
But spray painting a body kit may not be a good idea anyways.

I didnt realize that not liking spray painted bumpers was a reason for sucking at life.
Anyways.
IF you want it to look good with spray paint.. do the following.
-sand whatever you are spraying with 400.
-wet sand with 600.
-clean
-primer [if you want]
-spray thin coats of color until it covers to a uniform color.
-not necessary but makes it better, wetsand with 800
-spray clear coat spray paint..again thin layers.
-after a couple layers, wetsand with 1000.
-repeat
-repeat
-wetsand with 1500
-rub with rubbing compound.
the reason you have to repeat so many times is because spray paint goes on so thin.
to let you know... if you REALLY are DEADSET on spray painting... there are some stores that mix spray paint to OEM car colors, usually auto paint stores.
