Wife supports my habit. Sleeps in the van with me at the track. Helps out as much as she can wrenching, which isn't much, mostly fetching and holding crap. Which is actually a huge help now that I think of it. Extra set of hands is a big time saver. Can't wait till my son is older. She has a jetta 1.8t, kw coilovers, swaybars, audi tt wheels, and the rest is stock. Handles pretty good.

My girl supports my hobby, but not monetarily. That's because until August I made more money than her. She actually told me that she liked my car better when it set off car alarms than my new quieter exhaust. I think the rumble was like a sitting on a laundry dryer.

I justify spending a weekend under my car in her eyes because I change the oil and fix brakes, hubs, and other broken stuff on her Buick Regal. And there are lots of broken things...

Meh...mine's "supportive," but only from an emotional standpoint. She knows how important my car is to me and everything, but also knows that she shouldn't try buying anything for my car cause I'm extremely picky. As for hers, she doesn't want to spend any more money on it than she has to. Her parents got her into a PT Cruiser when she wanted a Mini. Now I've told her when finances allow I'd get her the Mini, but she had to let me do whatever I wanted to it. (She agreed as long as it was still an AT)

They rule. I've been teaching them how to drive stick.. It's kinda funny because they can't see over the steering wheel cause the SPG sits so low so I have to put my socket set under them as a booster.. :rofl:

Nope. They are RHD specific, although, you *might* be able to ghetto rig it to work...but it wont be the same, and truth be told, not too safe if you are in an accident.

My girl drives an 07 civic sedan base model lowered on springs (i got them for her and she loves them and even knows how to angle out of driveways sorta now). She helps me buy car parts SOMETIMES, but gets mad that I spend money on my car and not her, I guess it's understandable though. well im on the other end of this thread, Im actually a 240 fanatic, I would be at the junkyard looking for parts I need and dont need for my car.
My husband has a f150, but drives my car all the time! Im thinking of getting him a 240 too, but money is hard to get when you have a house payment...u know...
we do the fixing and we get down and dirty with my car alot since its a 89, there is always something going wrong with it. He is a mechanic so I lucked out, he goes into the garage for hours to fix his VW baja he is turning into a dune buggy, and I totally suport him, I dont know what VW stuff to get him other wise I would buy him parts. I like being able to talk to ppl who know about cars, we sit there and just go back and forth on stuff that i wanna do on my car, guys seem to be facinated with girls who actually know what they're talking about...
but there is still alot i dont know..but know enough to be able to talk "car" lol
