View Full Version : Question About Swapping Ka24e To Ka24de

so i am putting the connector from the kae engine onto the kade wiring harness and i know there is suppose to be some wiring left over. does anyone know what wirings are going to be left??????
on the single cam connector i got left is
red/yellow stripe
purple/gray dots
light green/gray dots
gray/gray dots
gray/blue stripe
on wiring harnessi got left is
green/white stripe
green/black stripe
green/yellow stripe
also i have head up display n still want it to work what do u have to do? do i have to get a 91-94 guage cluster with the heads up or what?

i'm pretty sure u gotta get the dual cam cluster we plugged a single cam cluster in to my friends 92 and the temp gauge and the seat belt light worked and that was it and it was a good working cluster

Same wiring as doing an SR/RB, look at any writeup online.
And yes, you need a DOHC cluster, or at least the tach.

Everything but one connector just plugs in. The connector for the dash harness is different on the dohc harenss than the sohc harness. Remove the pins from your sohc harness and transfer the wires from the dohc connector to the sohc connector that you took off your old harness. Put them in exactly the same spot as they were in the dohc harness. Plug it in, get a dohc cluster, and that's it. Pretty simple. And the connector I'm talking about is right by the main ecu connector by the way.
