S14 JIC Tie rods, on a s13?

So for xmas the parents orderd the s14 jicmagic tie rods instead of s13.

A buddy with a s13 said that s14 will fit and you get better angle when drifting.

True? False?

If true, anything i need to worry about like fitting? Replacing Ball joints?

I don't know about getting any better angle, but they will fit. What ball joints would you replace, the ones on your new rods? Or do you mean the knuckle?

i believe it will give you a bit more angle, that and ive heard that the s14 ones are much beefier than the s13 ones.

just take the locks out and with that install the 3mm spacers that come with aftermarket kits and your set...

You don't mention you have the ends also, so we'll assume so. If that's the case, you're fine, the S13 and S14 tie rods are identical in length. The S13 is a smaller diameter thread though so you will need matching ends if you don't already have them.

Now i have spl Tension rods, but not installed if that helps any, but everything else is stock besides that.

So do i need to buy inners?

Depends on what you wanna get, stock S14 outter will be the cheapest, Kazama rod ends being one of the most expensive ones.

Stock sounds good because as long as i have inners and rods, i should be fine with stock s14 outers on a s13 car.

Or how about i just have my mom send them back and i can get the s13 rods in about 2 weeks?

and then you have tie rods that are every bit as weak as the stock rods.

The thread diameter does have alot do do with the strength.
