Question about S14 sr20det WC ecu?

Just quick question for those of you that have this ecu. Is it supposed to have a LED in it that I can read the codes off of like most of the other ecus do? Just wondering because I was sent this one with a customers swap and in short, the swaps finished, no spark, checked everything else so I was going to see if it was throwing any codes. The ecu itself has a slot for LED to be in but theres no LED there, should there be one or is this normal?

I don't have an l.e.d. on the ecu(WC). I use my CEL to read the codes.

Did you wire anything extra up so it would flash on the CEL? I tried that as well and the CEL won't come on at all.

I wish that I could tell you that I was mechanically inclined enough to do it myself, but i had someone wire the harness for me.

there should be a CEL pin out on the f4 plug (if its in a s14) if for a s14 it should in pin2 on the f4 plug. and the color should be either orange or L/W i forget what L is.. i think blue and W is white of course.


on a s13 it should be pin24 and its either Red or L/W
