SPAL Fan Controller Help

I just recently installed the SPAL Fan controller on my Redtop powered S13 and it does not want to read the stock temperature sensor. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I hope I wired it right. I wired the sensor wire from the fan controller to the Blue/Orange wire of the temperature sensor.

Also If I elect to use the temperature sensor that was supplied with the kit what would be the best place to mount it? Is putting the sensor in the water outlet hose sufficient? Thanks for any help.

It should work if you hooked the positive up to the blue w/orange stripe and negative to the black wire. Make sure your getting good continuity also.

As for using the sensor that came with it, ive seen people stick the probe through the radiator fins but I wouldnt, I love my radiator too much. I dont see why it wouldnt be sufficient enough if you hooked it up to the water outlet. Probably more accurate that way.
