Greddy announced this time last year that they were coming out with a street legal turbo kit for the S14 summer of '02. Well, I don't hear any turbos spooling in my engine bay yet, so what gives?
I checked out Greddy's website and it says TBA. What the hell does that mean? To Be an A$$? I'd like to get the SR20, but I still live in Ca and don't want to risk it. Anyone know anything? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/whatsthat.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':whatthe:'>

I hear that one of the guys that works for Greddy is driving around with the prototype in Cali.
But this is just a rumor....... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

The only way to get them to build it faster is to let them know there are hungry customers ready to spend their cash on this kit. Want it to come out now.. LET THEM KNOW!.. email them, call them. Whatever it takes. If they know there is money to be made that they are missing out on, they will devote more resources to it.

Actually, i kind of disagree with that. I say let them take their time, because if they rush it, then you're gona have faulty stuff. Let them thoroughly test everything before they release it, that way, the people that end up buying them first dont end up as beta testers. Turbo kits are madd expensive!!!

i totally agree with FOUR. if it isn't released yet, it's for a reason...not cause the folks at greddy wanna see 240 owners squirm in their seat drooling about the thoughts of a turb. when the kit is good and ready, it'll be released, and that's a good thing...i wouldn't like to get a kit knowing that the whole thing was "rushed"...

Greddy obviously has a good name to uphold. They aren't going to put out shit. It hasn't come out yet, because they are devoting minimal resources to it. Look how fast they release kits for honda's.. take about 8-10 months. It's because they put about half the staff on the project. Where as for our car.. we might get 10% if that. We have a limited production vehicle that has been discontinued. This means they have a limited market that isn't going anywhere. Why should they put more resources on it? Demand is just not high enough. Just because something is done quickly, doesn't mean it will be shoddy. It just means that it takes more man power to complete all the work in a shorter time period.
So, in order to get the kit out faster. You will have to show greddy that the demand is Higher than they think it is. Or they won't devote any additional resources to it, and it won't come out any sooner. hell, if they think demand is decreasing, then they might even reduce allocated resources, delaying it even farther. I mean, the SR20 Craze isn't exactly bolstering their confidence that a KA24 turbo kit will sell like hot cakes when people can buy an sr20 for just about the same amount of money.

I have to agree with you sykikchimp. Maybe just maybe if they get enough feedback from potential customers they might increase the release of this kit. A good example would be the AGX's, popular places such as Summit Racing have them on backorder due to people buying them ASAP and being in such high demand.

Well, I didn't read the post, but I would like to congratulate the only other member of zilvia.net that I know to have put "chicken" in his name. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
