Might be a dumb thing to say but, I thought you couldn't use the 89-95? Transmission on a 96-98 because of the OBDI and OBDII things... Something I read up on while I was doing my conversion. Don't know if its right or wrong.

The difference from S13 to S14 is the VSS.
