This is where i got it from. You're absolutely right...that looks nothing like the JIC you posted...maybe it's an old design but shit i dont know what to say now. it's heavy though...if that means anything

This is the third time I've seen someone post a ssa style manifold and say it was a JIC in the FS section. If someone really claimed it was a JIC on eBay, than you fell for it, because its not.

i guess you're right...either way, a megan is only like 20 bucks cheaper so whatever it might be, it's still for sale

I bought a megan new for $100 locally. Maybe you're charging too much for a used megan?

the cheapest megan on ebay is around 150 plus 25 shipping....so if you got one for $100 new, then you got a deal. There are braces on this manifold that aren't on a megan so i dont know what kind of manifold this is, but it doesn't look like a cheap megan. So thanks for the post :D

you got a point...I might just do that if I cant sell it. I did get messed over and it isn't right to try to pass it off on someone else unless they know that this is not what I thought it was. But a tubular manifold is a tubular manifold and this one is heavier than some megans I've felt before

heavier doesn't tell how strong or the quality of the piece. like they said, jic has stamps on it. i have rarely seen a product from a big company w/o a stamp on it

you're right...just a point...i'll take some detailed pics of the thing tonight so we can figure out what the hell this thing is...

yeah...it KINDA reminds me of a megan or a gtspec...

take a picture of the porting job inside the collector flange (where it bolts up to the turbo) that should let you know what kind of manifold it is...megan usually isnt the best job in the world.

EDIT: theres two possible options on what it could be, its either a megan, or a URAS...they both have cyl. # 1's runner going into another runner from the side like that..
http://www.raretrick.com/store/images/products/6645_detail.jpg
(uras just for ref.)

megans have a name plate tack welded onto the runner for cylinder # 1...but it could've been taken off...look for any signs of where the name plate could've been.

the braces could have been added by the original owner as well, I did that to a manifold I bought for a turbo honda once.

Why not just throw it back on ebay? You should get about the same amount you paid for it hopefully. It will take just as long to sell on the forums anyway.

I think I'll file a dispute with the seller...since it isn't a JIC.... I dont know what it really is...but it's not what the description said... Thanks for all the info guys.

I filed a dispute with the seller and the seller swears that this is the manifold he sold me, which it does look exactly like this...but used of course:

That is not a JIC manifold, it is a XS engineering manifold. I can't beleive they posted that up there as a JIC. XS engineering use to sell that exact manifold for 150 shipped on ebay. How do i know? I bought one from them 2 years back. They are not bad manifold though.
