I learned with a 93 kawi ex500 w/no plastics lol.

never ridden before....my problem is I dont really have the cash to buy a bike to learn then resell and upgrade...id rather pick up a gsxr for 3500 and learn on it then a piece of shit for $1500 and then have to go through the hassel of selling it...more of a limited bike market on the east coast, shit goes up on craigslist and stays there for weeks or even months

Hey EastCoastS14, how far are you from Raceway Park in English Town NJ? In April is their spring swap meet and they ALWAYS have cheap bikes for sale. I mean real cheap, sport bikes for under 3 grand with titles and everything.

97 XL1200 Sportster. Stripped it down and took it to 12.9 @ 103. Not fast, but decent for a set of pipes, k/n, and runnin too rich in the midrange. Plans I have will hopefully get it to mid 10's. I don't really like that one on the street.

Maybe in the spring or so, I'd like to find me an older, tube-chassis Buell.

The precursor to most modern naked sport bikes, SV650, Ducati Monsters, Triumph Speed/Street Triple, they all have taken something from this bike.

It has an aluminum frame, single sided swing arm (licensed from ELF) and an 650cc V-Twin.

How hard is it to install clipons?

I went down on my R6 and the right clipon is loose from the fork.
The bolt that clamps it on is missing I guess it broke. Now when i turn a lot the clipons hit the fairings Im not sure if its bent or what but I need to get it fixed.

Buy the clip-ons and it'll take you minutes to figure it out.

#2 Get insurance on your POS
#3 Have your friend say the bike is clean and no damage etc...
#4 pay around for insurance for 2 months.
#5 Get to learn on how to ride that shit and so on.

#7 Make an Excuse "I got cut off blah blah"
#8 Get a newer and better bike.
