i plan on going ka-t sometime soon, gonna get catback, either ni single, hks, or jic all single canister because my bumper is cut to except single canisters at a slant. dont feel like buying n/a and then having to get turbo in the future, would it make much difference to buy turbo catback now while on a n/a(sound-performance)? also does anyone recomend a certain catback system, not too loud, good performance.

any catback with piping larger than 2.25 (2.5 might be acceptable, but it's REALLY pushing it) will be LOUD. Not like, "gee, I need to turn my stereo up" loud... I mean, "hey look, the cops are pulling me over" loud. If you REALLY think it's realistic that you'll be adding a turbo, just wait til then, put the $ in savings and earn interest on it.... otherwise you'll be buying a N/A exhaust, and then selling it on ebay or something (but who knows, that might be what you want to do if you don't think you'll be turbo'd for a while)
Hope that helps

If your wanting to get the exhaust now, consider one that you can get a silencer with it. Im NA on my KA right now (hehe, that sounds funny) with a N1 dual but the silencer made it quiet as a sleeping baby. I swear it compares to stock volume right now.

What about makein your own customn exhaust for now. Like when i get my 240 im getting madrel bent pipe 2.50 or 2.75 not sure yet, and a carbon fiber exhaust with a 4 inch tip. And when u get your turbo u can sell or throw away your $200 custumn exhaust

not a bad idea, minus the ricey carbon fiber (wrapped), muffler and 4" folgers tip (seriously, we DO NOT want our cars to sound like farting civics!
you don't wanna go higher than 2.5 or have fun being hassled by the popo for having a LOUD ass car... not, "damn that sounds smooth" loud, I mean "jesus that guy needs to get a new muffler for that loudass thing!"-LOUD. Hope you have a deafening stereo to drown that out.
Point being, if you just need something cheap, stay stock or get some cheapie universal pipe and have midas make u a crush bent pipe... shouldn't run you more than $100 all together (unless you want the useless carbon fiber wrapped muffler)... then you can get a real exhaust after you're turbo and sell the old muffler on ebay
