these guys don't pay crap for those motors and I really don't doubt most (not all) of the U.S. companies buy the leftovers from Canada, which are leftovers from Japan.

i bought my sr20det from Jhot imports in Denton, tx.

picked it up myself with my front end.

they treated me well, and gave me a big gigantic green pen.


At the time i was looking into JDMEngines Corp and Jarco.......but jdmengines corp i heard too much shady stuff, and Jarco flaked on me when I asked for a whole silvia front end clip. But this is what happened to me.

Got a S14 front clip from Venus-Auto about 2 years ago for 3000 shipped and its ran great. Customer service was good and response time was great. However being in New York it would be silly to get a motor from Cali with a shop like Heavy Throttle around you. Jeff down there knows what he's talking about and the motor may be a little more money but the cutomer service is second to none. Just my experience though. Good luck and happy hunting.

i bought mine from there and they absolutly fuck me over big time. they send me a motor with a hole in the piston. then a bare s14 block. then a motor that looked like this.

Augusta location is minutes from my house.. great bunch of people and i have bought TONS from them and have at least 10 people i know personaly who have all purchased SR/RB/CA/H motors from them and have yet to have hear of 1 issue..

yeah, they sent one after the original bad one(the pics), it ended up being an s14 blacktop block, empty head. they wanted me to swap everything over from the first one to the new short block, which wouldn't work cuz certain shit like the water pump and stuff wont bolt up. then i sent both back and the send me another long block, ended up having a bad piston, and 2 of the other pistons were on their way out. then i said fuck them. bought a short block from the guy in LA. customer service was horrible. after i posted what happend on here and nico they were a little more helpful l:rant2:
