Does it work with OBDII or just OBDI? I haven't checked in my car - but is there a separate console port from the OBDII port on 96+ ?

the consult port is a completely separate port from the OBD ports, it works from basically 89-99 or so

if you're going to release software that you want people to try, the least you can do is catch exceptions properly :keke:
