Will an S13 DOHC HUD work w/ CA18DET?

I'm trying to get an answer to this question. I've searched the boards and read one CA18DET FAQ that told me any non-HUD DOHC cluster will work. I read other places that you just need the DOHC tach. looking for clarification. Not sure why it would matter if it's HUD or not...

in other words if ur CA is heavilly moded then the HUD will not be able to catch up to ur actual speed...only during normal drving...remember...the clusters are all pretty much pug and play...cept that the HUD is an extension of the actual cluster...its not plugged anywhere on the actual interior harness if im not mistaken :confused:

Just make sure when swapping clusters. DOHC motors must have DOHC cluster.

i think rewireing ur SOHC cluster is to much of a hassle and not garanteed
