this is awesome, haven't tried it myself yet because i dont have any small dings other than the ones that the *SNIP* (THAT term needs to not be used) are paying for if you read my other thread.

but it's pretty cool. you get to save hundreds of dollars :)

hope this helps some of you out. pretty good find imo.

what if i were to layer dry ice on the entire exterior...

no no no, better yet... dry ice fused into the cars paint and some kind of generator to keep the body cold so that the paint job looks like its smoking all the time.

i'm gonna make millions.

this does work, but it's not perfect. in most cases you'll still have some little sign of imperfection.

Instead of dry ice, use a can of compressed air that is used for blowing out electronics. Turn the can upside down and and spray the dent for about 30 seconds or until the dent is covered with ice. Then get a hairdryer and warm the dent up. It will "pop" the dent out . It is the same method "painless" shops use.

sounds good, someone do it, and post results.

Actually a revised method is to use a heat gun and warm up the dented area first then use the Duster. You warm up the area as you would when you roll your fenders.

alot of those dusters have a bitterant in them.

what you do is, take like four cans and start spraying them under the door while someone is in a bathroom.

they'll be gagging in no time.

I was typing out the response below when I saw that you posted this. Here's what I was saying...

I thought this was the same vid that was going around of a guy using a can of condenced air upside down and then heating it up.

It seems like the same concept.

FYI I tried the other technique on three different types of dents and IT DOES NOT WORK.

Therefore until I try the dry ice version, I won't believe it. But, I WILL give it a try. .)

I've never done it so I cant say that it works. I have seen it work, but there was still signs of imperfection on the panel. Now I just take my cars to a local "dent doctor". He fixes an entire panel for only $75.

Smart & Final sells dry ice. Well, at least the one near me does.

Could also get some from the mobile ice cream vendors.
