Im wanting to make christmas greetings to my friends, but its a pic i need to be like trasnparent, then put over it? how to i turn a image transparent, then put over another image? thanks in advanced
( i googled)

Go to whatever layer that image is on and adjust the opacity. The opacity control is in the layers box.

dude stop posting and start looking. If you look in the little window in the bottom right, you'll see tabs. one says "Layers" and the others are "Channels" and "Paths". You should be on the Layers tab.
If you don't see this window, hit F7.
Choose whichever "Layer" that you want to change the opacity on (Note that dragging the other image on top of your other is FIRST is best/easiest). Then just look for a word that looks just like "Opacity" and it will have a 100% sign next to it. Change the % to however transparent you want it...
damn, Photoshop is all trial and error. just click buttons.
