Its probably the IAC motor on the intake mani,,,,turn it to lower the idle

What cars do you know that idle at 2000 rpms? lol. Idle should be around 800 rpms

There is an idle screw on top of your intake manifold IIRC. Try turning that down. But there is probably something else causing it. Is your idle smooth?

Edit: your location is white house? tn maybe?

whats the IAC motor? ima search it right now see if it comes up

but uhmm also i forgot to mention my idle is smooth and the needle goes a bit crazy like the needle moves a bit but usually stays at 1,500 sometimes it drops down to like 1,300 rpms ( but thats when my ignitor wires get a bad signal) it drops it down and when i press in the clutch the needle goes up couple hundreds rpms

you may also be getting in air past the throttle body, a possible vacuum leak? check the hoses too to see if there are any cracks or anything. but there is a lot of info on high idle issues so check it out

Dont be a sarcastic ass when you are begging for help. Take your car to a shop if you want it done right, other wise be kind and gratefull and not a dick for free help, this topic has been covered 100000000 times, fucking search troll.

i got negg repped for fuken posting up on zilvia for some gah damn help

i cant see how i was being a dick... honestly wtf?

and why would i want to take it to a shop id rather learn something or attemp to have something done before taking it to a shop and spending money.

IIRC = if I recall correctly

IAC = Idle air control. Same thing I was talking about. Just turn it some way, if the idle goes up, turn it the other way. haha.

If it was a vacuum leak it wouldn't be idling smoothly, nor would it be driveable, unless it was a really really small leak or something.

don't worry about it. Zilvia is a place of tough love. If you don't search and make a thread about something that ha been covered then some people think it's there job to tell you off. Np biggie. Just try not to be a newb about things.

I guess what you could have done is searched for "high idle" and see what came up. I hardly ever make threads b.c everything is answered on here somewhere.

So with that said, go out and clean out your IAC reinstall and adjust it and see if that fixes it.

Turn the idle screw clockwise to tighten it down. It's between the runners on the intake manifold. It'll lower the idle. Some SR's have a plastic idle screw. Be careful not to strip it.
