pretty simple.. take off the brackets.. get a peice of scrap metal to go across the bottom.. drill holes in the metal and in the bottom of the seat from and bolt it all together.. i'll take some good pics of what i did later.

i guess cause ur fighting to stay in the seat when ur in the car.. if ur fighting to stay in ur seat at ur house.. u need to get ur foundation checked out.

Very nice...

I wish I thought of this before I bought a new computer chair.

I'll probably end up using mine when I play videogames.

The bitch is the seat rails...like 200 bucks...but I guess after dropping 900 on a seat, whats another 200.

One of the only reaons I don't have it in my S14 is that my s14 is pretty much stock and having a full bucket seat in a 240 with an SR and a bunch of bolt-on's, hardly lowered and with a stock steering wheel just seemed kind of goofy to me. I'll put it in when I stop being a bitch and finish geting my turbo setup together

I've actually slept on these seats a couple times.

Nice crash spot when you got no where else to lay down.

Good idea.

But then he'll realize that the s13 isn't a great seat to sit in for over 5 minutes.

lol.

Props to your dad.

you really should consider getting a job, possibly an apartment... maybe even a bed one day. trust me, not only do you have a better chance of getting laid, but you'll back will feel much better!

Here's another good use. It's not complete, but since this picture the seat has been mounted to a base and is completely functional. Once there is a solid release date for GT5, I'll get crackin on finishing it up.

Cool comp chair! Vicarious rep for your dad. S13 seats are awesome out of the car, very comfy to chill in and take a break from wrenching...

I didnt think my S13 seats were that bad until I sat in the S14 seats in my new car, it was like night and day.

thats surprising, s14 seats look almost the same as the seats in my civic, and i HATED those, they didnt hold me in at all. my s13 seats are pretty cozy.

is that shifter actually gears 1-5/6 and reverse? or just up/down?

that is cool.
would be really awesome if you could remove the shifter from the steering wheel and put it down by your right hand. or be jdm and put it on the left side and make like a wood "center counsol".

No, it's just up/down. It's the Driving Force Pro wheel made for GT4. There's a newer one for GT5, but I haven't bought it yet because GT5 isn't out yet. The new one does have actual gears and a clutch. The shifter is separate and I'll be mounting it on the side where the center console would be.

The S13 seat is horrible.

At least spare you old man some back problems and get him a much more comfortable S14 seat.

The 13 seat is a kidney killer. At least mine was.

bucket seats are awesome for people with bad backs. after about an hour in a regualr seat my back goes nuts, so I would just go sit out in my car and write papers or whatever, now I just go in my room though since its not in the car currently..

Yah, on long trips I cramp up in my s13 seats. I may upgrade someday. Or maybe I'll just man up and deal with it.
