if your doing it on a S13 all you have to do is reroute the cable(z32!!!) and it will fit. I am not sure about the S14.

R33 only works well with S14. For S13, reroute or use 2+2 cables.

He has an S14.
I stopped caring on mine and gutted it and got a hydro ebrake. It was one of the better decisions I've made.

So you can reroute S13 Stock E-brake cables and it will work?
*edited* Did a simple search found out "yes". I would ask where but I guess I'll find out when I install it.

No, reroute the 2seat Z32 cables.

I have z32 cables on mine, and all you have to do is use a little engineering. Take the brackets off and remount them in a different location and it will work.

no pics........... shit was too simple and not worth documenting
basically cut off your og ends and mate them onto the z32 cables
z32 2+2 would be nice, but wtf... its an ebrake setup. i dont need to sit here and fan balls over something so small and stupid. even if i could do it over, ide probably look into some type of heavy-duty crimp tool.
serious......... waste of time.

Those Oring locks import nut used come apart easy.
I used like 5 on just one cable and hurt my hands tightening them and they came off on the first good yank on the ebrake.
fuck that.
last thing you need is to be driving out to a wall and need to slow down and the brake not be there because you forgot you have to be gentle.

I never understood the need for serious cables, after all it's a parking brake. With the car in gear and the brake applied you're not going anywhere, so there's really no need to yank it up like you're jerking off. Stop the car, pull it up to engage, and get out. Done.

Yeah, duh.
You can leave it in gear at the tampon store so you don't really need it for daily driving.

Here is a link that may help you s14 guys. http://forums.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=120107&highlight=nicopress I did the same thing with my s13, except I didn't have to cut my cable. I just made a bracket to bolt the cables on tight. If you guys are in socal, burbank area, there is a company called ver sales and they made me a new ebrake cable. The cable is the one that bolts onto the handle. The used a new threaded stud fitting, copy the link to see, http://versales.com/ns/cable_fittings/thrdstd.html. Then they made me a longer cable with a new copper stopper at the end. i just told them how much longer i needed the cable. The e-brake handle is firm as hell now. FYI. I don;t have pics because I just got done installing the parts this weekend. But the bracket took a while to make and fit. Now I have 2 adjustments. One on the ebrake handle and one on the bracket.

turns out those ebay extensions are 9 inches long!!! fuck THAT. i only need 3 or 4.
Hybrid22l: yea i seriously contemplated just extending that part of the cable, but i was trying a different route by just extending the threads on that adjustmet screw piece, ended up i need about 3-4 inches and that was too much because of the angle while the ebrake is pulled up it hit the tranny tunnel. So i think i'm just gonna get some wire crimp barrels at lowes and double em up, cut the stock cables and extend them.
Anyone tried this? seems like the cheapest, easiest, quickest way to fix the issue. I want ebrake by christmas so going the "safer" route probably isint gonna happen. But they use those barrels for garage door openers and they support tons of weight, so i figure if i put 2 on each cable then that should be fine.

If you need the swagger tool, lmk. i bought one and didn;t need to use it because I got the guy at ver sales to make me a neww cable. LMK if you want it, I'll let it go cheap. It usually retails over 100 bucks. The tin plated copper oval sleeves for the crimping can be bought at ver sales as well. FYI

what are you guys talking about $100 for tool and $10 a piece for the pieces?! i bought 1/8" ferrules at home depot for $1.33 a pair! the official crimping tool is $27 or you can use just a regular wire crimper! sounds like you guys got jipped!

Thats a good deal for someone with an s14 with Z32 ebrake setup.
but
In my case I have an S13 with J30 equipement and Z32/R33 cables will not work whatsoever with J30 ebrake so the above is the way you would do them.
