We received lots of good pictures, but at the current time these were some of the best, plus they were submitted in the highest resolution. Some of the others were submitted a low resolution, which would cause problems when printing.

If anyone has any pics they want to submit, send them to me at [email protected] and we will do another round of voting. Send highest resolution pictures possible.

Like I said I can e-mail you guys a high resolution picture (6-10mpx) of my car, but only if it gets chosen. I'm really protective of my raw, full size images since ... this is my job.

And I would vote D but only after you gave it to me for a little photoshop.

I'll also mention that if you're in So Cal and have a bad ass car, I'd be glad to photoshoot it. Just got a new camera and I'm looking for bad ass shit to photograph.

Print is usually 300 dpi

A piece of paper is 8.5" x 11"

2550 x 3300 is preferable.

The closer you are to that the sharper the image when printed. Over that and you get an even sharper image.

A thread to post pics for the calendar would work, then get the highres email later. (I'm sure you've thought of this already) This is Shiatsu's stuff. Maybe he has his own calendar or maybe we'd need permission from the photographer, but I'm just sayin this is the status we're talking about. Wow factor.

The cover doesn't have to be a picture, it can be a solid color, maybe with a very slight barely noticeable fade, with a Zilvia logo in the corner, and it'll still look elegant. It's not like anyone will have the calendar turned to the cover anyway, plus it would save on printing cost.

A. There should be a portrait of the owner of the car. (Where the circle is.) Magazine do these. Though I haven't seen it in calendars.
B. uhh...
C. December should consist of NONE S-Chassis Cars. We all know that NOT everyone owns an S-Chassis in here. Considering that this is a ZILVIA.NET calendar, people like us should be counted. It should also be a collage, not one car in specific.
4. It's gonna be hard finding high quality pictures for the standard size calendar. This one is only 1280x1024 (Wallpaper size) and I already have to stretch the picture. Imagine 2550x3300.
10. Hope you have a good graphics artist. Nothing like wasting quality pictures for some super cheesy everyday layout. This calendar caters to a younger crowd, not some 70 grandpa that can't read small text.
X. Who goes on what month? Simply make it that person's bday month. Same Bday month? Then it's a toss up. Nothing like flipping the calendar to your bday month, and BOOOM! there's your car.

See, this exactly the response I wanted.

As I said previously, there were lots of great submissions in the first batch, but the ones included in the poll were of the highest resolution available, which is what I need for print production.

I am going through all the new emails I have received and there will be at least one possibly two more preliminary rounds to vote and then a final run-off.

Now the legal stuff. Only submit pictures that you have the rights to. By submitting them you are authorizing us to us them in the production of the calendar.

I would love to have my car in there however, would there be any credit to photographers? All my good pics of the coupe are by kaizophoto, I could get higher res pics from him, but I am sure he would appreciate either keeping his tag at the bottom or some sort of credit.

I think you guys should have looked through the action thread. Because a car sitting still is great every couple pages. But 240's are more about motorsports than VIP'n. these aren't the "dopest" rides, but i prefer action shots alot more than a clean s14 sitting on some cool rims, centered in front of a building/garage/loading dock/parking garage or park.
