Nope, no special license required.

The only entry rules are that on the GT Live, NOPI, and the final event at Laguna Seca, registration is required on BOTH DAYS, not just Sunday.

Competition is fast... At Buttonwillow(13CW) the street class RWD cars were running 2:00... So this weekend with config 1CW we would need to hit around 2:05 if we wanted to be competitive...

Oh, it's not back in Montreal... oh well. People locally should've supported the event a little better.

I received a copy of the new 08' rules, there have been some changes including
a points program! Now a car will earn point for placing, and that i hope will get more people involved in it. :)

There's no way I'd ever participate in this unless I already had enough on the side after a mortgage BUT I do have a question.

For this rule:

An engine swap is considered one major engine upgrade. However, owners are permitted to swap an engine into their USDM vehicle if the engine was offered in the same chassis/model elsewhere in the world (JDM for example) for that chassis/model, and the engine swap will NOT count as a major engine upgrade.

Does this mean you could potentially install a LS7 or something of the sort?

WTF no read it again. It says you can have the same engine if it was offered in the SAME MODEL in another country. Meaning an SR20 in an s-chassis doesn't count as a major engine upgrade.

Billy Johnson was running this Datsun 510 which had a brutal RB in it. It shot 10 foot flames. That was one of the reasons for the new rule i believe. stuffing a jet engine into a moped just isn't right.

Right but wouldn't the LS7 swap be considered a "major engine upgrade"? Aren't you allowed ONE "major engine upgrade"?
