Poor Canadians.

First they get ass raped on auto insurance, and now their phone bills.

I guess Canada* isn't the frozen paradise I once thought it was.

*Canada is home to the numba wun Viet gangsta, Chuckie Akenz, bitch! Break yourself moffuga!

i'd fight it too

i kinda had that problem too with sprint when i added picture mail for $5. it charged me like 3cents per kb downloaded and my phone got on the internet to send and receive pictures. it never told me that i would be charged for this so when i got my phone bill 2 weeks ago and was $200 over i just went to the store and let them know. all i ended up paying was like $10 extra for adding the sprint vision package cause the guy said he'd put it as if i'd had it for that billing month. everything worked out. take em to court.

I got a $380 cell phone bill once with cingular.

Apparently I thought I still had rollover minutes, but since I switched to a lower plan and it didn't carry over it basically fucked me.

They trimmed it down to half and I paid.

I hate cingular.

Which is why I have At&t.

back in the pac bell days i use to work at a cell phone place. being the ignorant teenager i was and associating myself with idiots that thought they knew everything, i somehow thought i had a code that, when entered, would make pac bell unable to track my minutes. so i keep using it, and shit, on my phone it said it worked, so im like COOL. talk to my girl all day, all night, thinking, hey no sweat. get the bill at the end of the month, open it...

$750, i break into a sweat in less than a second.

mom: whats wrong?
me: uhhh.. WHAT? oh f*#k. no way! THEY'RE LYING! HOW!?

lol

ahh i was a funny teenager.

I think the guy was being stupid. I use my phone (KRZR) as a modem to access the internet, but I know this usage works the same way as using minutes to make a phone call. To make sure I don't get a high bill I use it during "off-peak" hours or weekends when minutes are free.

I'm thinking he didn't know that...or is simply playing dumb.

Employee Referral plans = FTW.

I use my old cell as a modem. It doesn't have a tracker to track WebKB from PhoneBrowsingKB. Then they discontinued my phone. But i still rock that internet hard.

I didn't know we got ass raped for car insurance? 900 a year for my car ain't too bad. I also don't have to get my car smogged, or anything like that. Forever.

"The thing is, they've cut my phone off for being like $100 over," he told CBC News.
"Here, I'm $85,000 over and nobody bothered to give me a call and tell me what was going on."

LOL exactly what i was thinking.

x2. I totally agree with the part where they didn't notify him.

They lowered his bill already. I doubt court is going to help him out. Is there a paragraph in your contract saying "we will notify you if you run your bill up very high."? Probably not.
