Rather than pick out the best car or truck that was new this year, the automotive trade journal picks the ten best engines, and this year it focused on motors that manage to balance the competing demands of more power and more fuel economy.

The VQ is THE only engine to be on that list since it's debut. Just another tally mark for Nissan.

Hehheeh, GM has more engines on there then Toyota or Honda.

I love how the 4.6 ford made it on there... it's still based off the .302 and is so next gen... bullshit... what about the 4g63 based EVO engines? What about the STi... that list sucks.

its V6s for years have been known for their intake mani gasket leaks...and they arent the greatest v6s in the world. ive owned 6 gm cars with v6s.

its v8 are good motors. other than that? fail.

Yeah, a lot of GM V-6's sucked.

The LS motors are great though.
They pick the motors based on what's new and best represents what they are going for.

I'm not saying I want to own a gm motor, I'm just saying I can see why they chose it.
