I have sold my Rb and I am going to do a Ls1 swap I need information to where I can find motor mounts and tranny mounts as a kit?

I have searched and found old out-dated results. I am building the swap myself and a little fabrication is no problem I just need a set of mounts to set the motor in straight and safe.

Also I have read some Kits come with bushings to lower the subframe for tranny clearance. Is this necessary with a 6 speed vs auto?

any information or links will be lots of help. Thanks guys!!

Ya I seen the Hinsonsupercars site! There expensive. I was looking in the 300-650$ range for mounts.

Flamed I don't care I asked a question they can answer it respectivaly or not!

Im building an all out drag car So 8 cyl will do the trick for me I just need custom mounts. The rest I can fab. Thanks for the info tho!!

You can also try xatracing.com. They're install seems cleaner than hinsons.

I just picked up this link from a guy who did all his own work. It shows most of his fabrication done.

I email xat mulitple times and did not get a response. From what I read, they only do the ls1 in house, as in not kit release for sale. Their website does not have a kit for sale either last time I checked.
$800 for a basic kit to mount your motor for something that is not that common. It will save you time to fab the mount and getting it mounted in the right location.

I think hinson as of now is the only kit for sale. ls1tech would be the best information as I know and have multi ls1 swap into the S chasis.

Ya this is going to be a long project. As soon as I get my Rb out im putting in a tube chassis in the rear with a 9 inch ford rear end. This is going to be a 2-4 year project 15-25 grand so im trying to find information. Im building a wheelie standing 240 as I have never seen one before.

Safety is my number 1 goal as I will be the one strapped into this monster carrying the front wheels to half track so I don't need a half ass mounting kit thats going to break on me or that I have to re-do to my liking. But I am working on planning and detailing the project b/f I start or buy anything. as it could get ugly quick!!!
