I'm trying to find a cheap turbo upgrade, cuz my turbo blew.
Hoping to find a step above upgrade turbo from the T28 but that requires no tunning cuz i'm out of money.
So i'll either get a T28 again or if there is something else that will run for now without tunning.
my setup:S13 Blacktop, FMIC, highflow exhaust from turbo back, boost controller, walbro fuel pump.

Your car is only tuned for the STOCK setup.
Adding a boost controller is something that requires tuning to make use of.
As does a bigger turbo.
Your car may run fine for now, but it's only a matter of time.
Not if it happens, but when.
Don't have money? I have an idea. Save it. Management + tuning is cheaper than an engine rebuild.

just get the S15 T28, you will feel somewhat of a difference,
dont raise the boost to much though till you get bigger inj and some :) kinda tunning!

yes, thats another thing i was looking at was the S15 spec R turbo, will it be a difference in power between the s14 T28 turbo that i have now?

not much, if you're trying to go any bigger than that (other than maybe a gti-r) i wouldn't do it w/out a tune
you'll be ok at stock boost w/ a s14/15 turbo

I'm going to be running a GTiR T28 w/ S14 comp housing on my S13 blacktop, with the rest of my setup pretty much identical to yours...from what I hear, as long as you leave the boost STOCK and leave that boost controller alone, nothing should blow up.

to give you an idea, a gt28rs @ 10psi is pushing the limits of the stock maf/injectors in the upper RPM (>6800)

well, i apreciate u'r responds, but i'm still stuck thinking.
i have money for a stock t28 S15, or a GT28RS.
the only thing is that with the GT28RS i don't have the money for maybe 2months at the most to tune it, cuz i would change the maf and the injectors and then tune it.
So i'm wondering will I be fine with the GT28RS running like little psi 5-8 just to get by for couple of weeks.

My experience:
My t25 was on the way out (oil leakage, making noise) I went to a shop got a gt2871r installed, they sourced it. Put it up on the dyno went from 144hp (older dyno I did right after the swap before turbo was making noise) to 155hp. New turbo was putting out 6psi of boost without any control. Car ran just fine (rich at top end). My only mod was a walbro 255.
I have put at least 10k miles on my car that way, just now getting a powerfc, boost controller, maf, injectors... Should be getting tuned today but needs some wires fixed after another shop I went to fucked some shit up.
If you do the work yourself, at least dyno it to make sure your air fuel ratios are safe.

What does "tuning" mean?
If you don't have money then stop trying to make more power.

I already posted that I ran 10psi fine for months, just don't rev over ~6500 at wot, or use a wg actuator that can run 7psi and you will be fine.

Hmm, do some google searching, or go on the regional sections and ask there.
for the tune shops.
but again, if you have cash for the bigger turbo right now
GET IT!!!!!!!!
. because after you tune,
you will wish you had gotten a bigger one!
just keep the boost stock and you will be fine!
