i'm trying to look for any rear subframes with independent suspension that i would prefer to bolt right up. if not bolt on then little modification. and yes i know you can probably just weld one from an s13, but i would like know what my options are. and for any smart asses out there i did try some research on it but came up with zilch because of limited internet at work.(damn commie bastards)

There is a guy on az240sx.org/forums that is doing an m30 build. The topic came up with a discussion. Search there for member XSlidewaysX and m30.

http://www.az240sx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=32987 nevermind I found it for you. You may have to wade through some offtopic bs but Garrett knows his stuff and is building a total track slut drift m30.

m30 rear is completely different then s chassis.

its actually the older semi trailing arm setup, like 280zx, z31, s12 200sx etc.

nothing really bolts in as far as the whole rear, its a mix of the others i mentioned.

you can bolt in s13 rear coilovers, you have to drill to holes up top though.

thanks for the input... if anything i already have the coilover setup on there. i just want some handling out of the rear. i have an s13 rear end that i tried at first but ended up only having the front mounting spots bolt up while the rear was basically nice and loose because they didn't line up with anything back there. so now i'm guessing i should just fab something to make it fit... any objections?

o yeah... although the s12 has a similar setup, it's definitely not the same as the f31. as the s12 does not have independent rear suspension. i should know i had one for my first car. i still kick myself for totalling it.

Sorry buddy but your wrong, the s12 came with both solid and IRS. Check out club-s12.org. Megan racing actually just released a full bolt on coilover kit that you should at least check out to see if it could work. Trailing arm camber sucks when lowered unless you your good at cutting and welding.

s12 and z31 trailing arm suspension is different then m30.

m30 uses a coilover setup in the rear like 280zx.

s12 and z31 use a seperate spring and strut/shock.
