well i was driving one day and my left blinker went out. i went to super autobacs and bought new bulbs and installed them...now when i turn my left blinker on, both my blinkers in the front go off and my tac starts blinking also. anyone have any clue how to fix this? could it be a relay?
i drive s13 hatch sr powered
the bulb i bought was 1056
thanks,

I'd say to start searching for a short in your wiring. check your relays. thats all I got considering its never happened to me

the motor makes no difference, d000d
whats more important is what type of front fuckin turn signal you have - or what bumper you have, then i can tell you what turn signal bulb you have or should have.
1056? no
most likely 1157, its a dual filament for the 91-94 signals, or for the 89-90 signals. 1156 is for the j-spec lamps (1/2 clear 1/2 amber)
install the wrong bulb and bam, you'll have big fucking problems
and i have no idea why you bought bulbs from autobacs, what a rip... just some regular clear bulbs will do the trick. i hope you didnt buy some fancy fake jdm piaa bullshiet

^^stop touching anything that has to do with electricity.
but on a slightly more serious note. disconect the battery before messing with stuff like this if you have no idea whats going on WITH A LIGHTBULB
check your fuses then check for fucked up wires

Step 1) Put in the RIGHT bulb.
Step 2) Check your fuses and flasher unit.
Step 3) Make sure to inspect your old bulbs before putting the WRONG new bulbs in.
And yes, melted wires are actually melted wires.

yes, you seriously can overload a wire. disconnect battery, make sure all grounds are secured (the random wires bolted to the chassis or in some cases the engine block) then make sure you dont have exposed wire touching something it shouldnt (insulation stripped/rubbed/melted off) FUCK I DROPPPED MY CIGARETTE and make sure you have the correct bulbs. wrong size will fuck up the flow of electricity (for lack of better words) and can create all sorts of problems
something to note: when i owned an mr2 (ive really got to get my name changed) i fucked the front end and wouldnt deal with the hassle of finding all the oem stuff so i bought me a clean bumper and some "bullet lights" from vato zone and wired those up in literally 10 minutes (only 2 wires).
they did blink faster, but they passed inspection and you could see them pretty good day or night. plus i had these way neato "cooling ducts" on my bumper afterwards
